Hollywood’s brightest stars came out for the annual BET Awards Sunday night and once again took time to honor the late Whitney Houston.

This really exemplifies why the black community is what's standing in the way of its own progression. Instead of honoring the righteous, the intelligent and the philanthropic in their communities, they honor someone who squandered their God-given talent for addictive substances and a wanna be gangster who was killed before his first turn in the pen.
