We're used to Andrea Rossi making statements about his work on the Journal of Nuclear Physics web site. Some are more dramatic than others, and this latest one could be considered more on the dramatic side:
Italo R. June 24th, 2012 at 10:42 AM Dear dr. Rossi, in these hot summer days we all are sweating. What about you, near your 600 °C device? Warm (or, better, fresh) regards Italo R.- Andrea Rossi June 24th, 2012 at 1:37 PM Dear Italo R.: Actually, I am in the USA, close to 20 reactors working above 600 Celsius. We must collect at least 20 000 hours of test. This is not sweating: this is vaporizing, as correctly the snakes say. Soon (weeks) we will publish the report of the high temperature reactor validation. Warm Regards, A.R.
If we take Rossi at his word here, the fact that he says there are 'close to 20' reactors suggests that Rossi has been able replicate this high temperature effect successfully -- it's not just a fluke result. If 20,000 hours of testing are required, it would take 20 reactors about 42 days to reach that cumulative total.
Rossi says that these reactors are running 'above' 600 C -- how high above, we are not told. Also, he mentions that the published report will be a 'validation'. Taken literally, that would suggest that there could be some 3rd party signing off on the data, but sometimes Rossi's English can't be taken as a perfect translation of what he means. Anyway, it looks like we're going to have to wait at least a few weeks more, however, for more details on all this.
I'm still waiting for the NOTHING IN and ELECTRICITY OUT test. I want to watch TeeeeVeeee, not just stay warm in the winter.
Did anyone ever figure out FUR SHUR whether or not Rossi arranges for his own translations, or is this just a publisher getting off cheap with another Google.translate trick?
More equine fecal material from Rossi.
What is E-Cat? Is this a disaster in the making? Just asking. I've never heard of this man or E-Cat before. The article's thread didn't make any sense to me.
It’s a cold fusion reactor that Italian inventor Andrea Rossi has been talking about for the last year and a half.
LOL!
There is NOTHING NEW that Obama’a EPA’s Nazi’s would let run above 600C......!!!!!!
“This is not sweating: this is vaporizing”
I’m surprised interest in his con game hasn’t vaporized by now.
Search and ye shall find!
About 1112F. His equipment should be glowing....
(600 * 1.8) + 32 = 1112 F!
Concrete breaks down north of 500C and most metals would soften. I’d be interested to know what these devices are sitting on or suspended in.
I'd gladly settle for the "something abundant but currently useless in, electricity out, value of electricity 2X cost to produce" scenario.
Growing like fungus out of a pile of bovine excrement.
Those numbers are scary.
More comments from Rossi about this:
“When I say above 600 Celsius I mean exactly this: the temperatureof the wall is well above, as you will see from the report we will publish soon ( matter of weeks). The temperature is constant, within a reasonable variation integral.”

Didn’t they say the temps in the WTC fires were 1,500-2,000F+? I’d think that’d convince those 9-11 conspiracy wackos that they went down from that, and that GWB&Co didn’t do it. But, noooooo.
Could not imagine having one operate anywhere near my home. Rock becomes molten at 1200C. Halfway there is halfway too far, IMO.
I’d have moved a long time ago!
