Did any of you listen to the debate last Sunday, and forum by NewYorkFamilies.org on Thursday, featuring the three NY U.S. senatorial candidates? After listening I will definitely vote for Wendy Long at the primaries this Tuesday.
Wendy Long is 100% pro-life, belonged to Americans United for life, pro-Constitution, worked for Justice Clarence Thomas, and much more.
While all of the candidates are conservative, Maragos (sadly) has the exceptions on abortion, and according to the NY Post is tight with the NY GOP, which is too "moderate" imo.
Turner is a very fine man, but is too open to the possibility of raising taxes.
Maragos challenged Turner on this, and Turner said we need to raise the debt ceiling for defense, etc..
Maragos said let's cut the Educations Dept., etc., instead.
BOTH Wendy Long and Maragos stated that they want to eliminate the Educations Dept. and both say NO! to a debt ceiling.
Wendy Long has been called a constitutional scholar and promoted the confirmations of Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Samuel Alito!
What does this mean?
Maragos is pro-life EXCEPT in cases of rape, incest and the life of the mother.
If a baby is a product of rape, it is STILL a life, and will still die by being sucked out, burned to death with saline, or ripped apart, like any other baby who is a victim of abortion.
However, I can understand the life of the mother part, but if a woman, say gets treatments for cancer, and her baby does not live, she is not intentionally killing her child, and these days, there is a stronger possibility of saving BOTH lives.
Many conservatives such as Steve Forbes and Grover Norquist have endorsed Wendy Long.
Two votes for Wendy from us.
“Two votes for Wendy from us.”
Great to hear that!
Thank you. I never heard it expressed that way before, as “has the exceptions on abortion.” I should have been able to figure it out.
Voting for Long on Tuesday.
She was also endorsed by John Bolton, the New York Post, and the Gotham Tea Party.
“Voting for Long on Tuesday.”
Kewl.
Maybe you’ll Email your family and friends about her.
“She was also endorsed by John Bolton, the New York Post, and the Gotham Tea Party.”
Nice to see a Tea Party included!
I looked up the Gotham Tea Party when you told me they endorsed Wendy Long, and here’s an excerpt:
“June 20, 2012
Astute Gotham Tea Party enthusiastically endorses Wendy Long in NY US Senate primary

The following Gothan Tea Party June 20, 2012 press release explains why Long is the best choice.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Gotham was impressed by Wendy’s grasp of our core ideals of fiscal conservatism, constitutional government and the preservation of free markets. In several meetings we saw that Wendy is far from a one-dimensional conservative. She has proven to be a quick learner and is now fluent on a variety of fiscal issues. Gotham was also particularly impressed with Long’s efforts to recognize the Tea Party as an important constituency among the electorate.”

I had to re-read this 3x; I thought this was a “best hamburger” thread. Need coffee & breakfast. Sorry. LOL.
Being a conservative political activist in New York, I rarely feel optimistic about politics. But this year that has changed. I have gotten to see Wendy Long in action. She is a principled conservative who is a superb campaigner. The Republican establishment is doing what they can to deny her the Party’s nomination but Wendy has been driving the Empire State and winning over Republican primary voters. Be sure to vote on Tuesday. And get your family and friends to vote for Wendy Long.
If these two paragraphs from Maragos’s wiki entry are correct, he’s essentially a Democrat:
“Maragos said he supports raising the debt ceiling in exchange for spending cuts, cutting subsidies for oil companies, and bringing home the troops, which would save $200 billion per year he would reinvest in “rebuilding America.”
As part of his plan to create jobs, Maragos would simplify the tax code, removing tax breaks for special interests. He would replace them with incentives for new manufacturing and green jobs, such as “almost no taxation.””

“And get your family and friends to vote for Wendy Long.”
Let’s all do that. Email them before Tuesday!
Thanx for that website!
Maragos “evolved” about the debt ceiling just in time to run for U.S. Senate. How can we trust him?
Laura Ingraham, via robocall, phoned my home yesterday, and asked me to vote for WENDY Long!
Thought it was interesting when Ingraham added that Wendy Long was a godmother to her children.
C-ya at the polls tomorrow fellow NY conservatives.
Putting Ms. Long out there before redistricting and seeing how the GOP nomination shakes out was an odd way to play the CP hand. I cannot understand politicians who have an ego big enough to be talked into a United States Senate race without ever having won a general election of any kind not even dog catcher.
The best choice on Tuesday, 26Jun is Bob Turner. Turner has a shot in November because he will cut into the support the Rats need in NYC to overcome the more conservative upstaters the ones that gave Paladino a landslide victory in the 2010 primary.
Listen to Ingraham giving some great reasons for supporting Wendy Long, and then listen to Wendy herself:
Bob Turner’s a great candidate, too, but Wendy is a much better opponent against a woman like Gillibrand who will play the fake war against woman card, and she won’t be able to do that with Wendy, NOT ONE BIT!
Plus, Wendy is so much smarter than Gillibrand, and will whoop her in a debate.
