Hey Mitt: If You Want To WIN, You're Going To Need Marco Rubio

Consensus seems to be voter enthusiasm and turnout will likely decide the race...
and this kid brings all that in spades
Not only is TEA Party hero Marco Rubio a true Reaganite in policy on every issue I'm aware of, the thing that makes the young senator such a force in today's GOP is the impressive communication skills: imho Gipper-esque as well. What we need more than anything are great communicators on the right to
sell the conservative agenda to a weary and confused electorate.
As campaign attack dog, a VP candidate Rubio would be perfect- he's more conservative and a far better salesman for our principles than Romney. This would go some way towards a truce with many disgruntled GOPers on the right -and maybe a few Paulbots as well- Marco is one of us.
To me, any boost with the Hispanic vote is just gravy... my support of this man for vice president has nothing to do with any of that. But if anybody wants to hear about where he came from out-there on the trail, Marco Rubio does have a story to tell.
While rumors developed early yesterday that he was somehow out of the running, by evening Fox News had reported that Romney's campaign made it perfectly clear: 'Marco Rubio IS being thoroughly vetted by our campaign'.
Alas, I probably wasn't the only one who was less than thrilled with Rubio's lack of support for those more conservative than Romney early in the primary process... yet today he stands in a position where he's capable to heavily influence the administration of that same Romney in a real way...
fact is, I'm glad he's still in the running.
Senator Rubio might just be the future of this party- there's not too many others like him save West and Ryan. He gets it...
can explain it... and you can tell that in his heart he really and truly believes it. I simply don't like any of the other short-listers as much as this one
Some say that at 41 years of age, Marco Rubio is too young and inexperienced to be a 'heartbeat away' from the big chair... yet as the Senator himself has noted 'I get older every day'...

No thanks. I can’t get behind any republican who pulls the race card on conservatives wanting nothing more than enforcement of the law as quickly as Rubio has.

Who’s not a RINO? If Rubio is, who meets your criteria? DeMint? He’s a huge Rubio supporter...probably made his victory possible. Palin? She support the ultimate RINO, McRINO himself? If we toss out everyone who isn’t 100% lockstep, well, we end up with people like Romney as our leaders.
I don’t care for his immigration talk, but his policy ideas on immigration are pretty good, coupled with border security and business hiring enforcement.

Exactly. Why does Romney need another pro-immigration RINO to win? He can run alone at the top of the ticket later. He doesn't need you Mitt and you don't need him.
What you need is a solid conservative to unify the base. It doesn't have to be anybody flashy.

Senator Rubio might just be the future of this party LoL.
To: Reaganite Republican
Reagan wouldn’t want someone on the ticket who wasn’t a natural born citizen and thus Constitutionally qualified to step into the Presidency. Get Real —
To: ilgipper
Reagan himself could run with Romney and it would not change the fact that I cannot vote for him. If I believed Rubio were a Natural Born Citizen, he would be someone I could vote for at the top of the ticket. If people think a good VP can keep Romney in line, they are deluded. The man won his way; why would he listen?

I had made my peace with voting for Romney. But if he puts an ineligible candidate on his ticket than I’m back where I started. No can do. Probably won’t matter much R’s always win KS but still. Just because we have a precedent now that the powers that be are ignoring NBC requirements doesn’t mean it’s right. It may very well be that Obama is NBC because of the fuzziness of his true parentage and whereas that may be true that he actually turns out to be NBC, we know for sure Rubio is not. No question of who his parents are. He is not NBC
