A guy was on Rush today and gave a statistic that even Rush was not aware of. While reading The World Almanac, about the 1956 American Presidential Election, he learned that 15 Presidents have been reelected and each one received MORE votes the second time around (when they ran for reelection) than they did in their first Election. That is a historical fact.
Now, we read, and/or hear, everyday that Obama is losing much of his 2008 base. The pundits are saying that the 2012 Race is going to be very, very close. Obama's poll numbers are abysmal. If the poll numbers hold up, and History does, in fact, repeat itself, Obama is toast.
Have you been to Obama’s web site? I held my nose to take a peek!
It’s pathetic!
No substance, bashes Romney, has campaign trail pics with two people present, and page, after page, after page, of Obama crap for sale, covering every PC constituency you can imagine! Jews, gays, latinos, women, it’s like Prego, it’s in there!
But the real slap in the face comes from his, “Dinner with Obama” page, where you must meet certain ELIGIBILITY requirements to have that dinner with Lil’ o.
Words escape me!
It was the web site of a colossal loser.
Nobody loves him anymore, and that’s a fact. Of course, we never did, but many of those who voted for him in 2008 have lost their confidence, trust, inspiration, true affinity, identification with, and enthusiasm for the man.
In short, all of the ingredients that propelled him into office, are now greatly reduced, or missing altogether in many of his constituents. It’s beginning to be clear to me that a greater number of people simply took a shot, and gave him a chance, than I’d previously imagined. Those people are now chagrined, and have lost the faith.
Which leaves him with only the lowest common denominator among his former supporters, and those who feel that they have no other alternative, but to vote for him again.
That, in turn, leads me to wonder if a good number of Democrats might now be looking for some way to lodge a protest vote against him, in the same way that many Republicans will be voting for someone other than Romney.
That might well happen, but I suspect that many disillusioned Democrats will simply sit out the election, and let their neighbors do the voting for them. That’s not going to happen on the right, for obvious reasons.
No, I haven’t been there but will check it out with a barf bag handy.
OTOH, your description is perfect so I might pass. LOL
Excellent analysis.
I think a large number of Dims will vote romney because their pockets/purses are empty.
Hmm.....I'm trying to remember how that thing is exactly worded.
I may be wrong, but I seem to remember something about all of the delegates going to the winner of each party's primary. In other words, the winner of the Dem primary gets all of the delegates in that primary. The losing Dem candidates can't hold onto their delegates. They have to give them up to the winner.
Naturally, the same holds for winners and losers of the Republican party primary.
Correct me if I'm wrong on this.
Romney will likely win PA.. in fact Romney will likely win MI as well.

I predicted on another thread earlier that Romney WILL carry Michigan. I also believe that he WILL carry Wisconsin. But, PA? Nah; not buying it. Every year we get teased with the “possibility that PA will go Republican in the Presidential Race”. This year, I’m not buying it; not getting my hopes up. It ain’t happening; unless there is a major flood in Philadelphia and the ‘burbs on Nov. 6.
I remember posting the very same thoughts (at great length) two years ago. I'd sort of given it a rest for a good while, but I'm starting to consider that it really might come to that.
This guy is a complete disaster for the Dems. He's pulling their whole party down, and it's simply astonishing to me that the old bulls haven't already given him the heave-ho.
I think the old bulls, Clintons and others, are giving it a try.
What I find curious and don’t understand...is who are O’s “real advisors?
He seems to be doing some goofy things.
Obama toast? Don’t count on it.
Remember ‘08?
Remember the MSM is still lying and covering up for him.
We’ll see the same illegal overseas and other contributions
We’ll see voter fraud ten times worse
We’ll see the race card pulled as never before
(Romney is a sitting duck with his religion’s history of discrimination against blacks)
Don’t think the rats will give up their Communist coup without a struggle.
This will be the dirtiest fight in election history
We’ll be lucky if we EVER get rid of the Marxist/Muslim sob.
Man, you guys are either reading my old posts, or reading my mind tonight. I said the exact thing two years ago. The Dems are practically stuck with this moron, because there's no way to extract him from the race without causing a rebellion of black Democrats against the rest of the party.
Even though many blacks are souring on him now, if the party were to move him out of the way for any stated reason (including a catastrophic illness), blacks would immediately suspect foul dealings behind the scenes. You'd never be able to convince them otherwise, either. If they lose the black vote, they're sunk forever.
Which brings us full circle. The Dems are stuck with him, no matter how much damage he causes to their party. I'll bet that most of the old bulls have already conceded that they're about to enter a rebuilding phase. Time to go quiet and play nice with the opposition until they can elevate the farm team to the majors.
I agree with you. Anyone who thinks Obama is going down in a landslide is simply fooling themselves. Anyone who thinks Obama will be dumped from the ticket is similarly deluded. Never gonna happen. This will be a fight to the finish.
That, my friend, will be one of the biggest post-election surprises of this race.
My Prediction is as Follows:
1. The Dems get Obama out before the convention. Only question is how. scandal, sickness, health, etc...
2. Biden is named president.
3. Biden picks Hillary as his VP.
4. Biden steps down for reasons of health.
5. Hillary picks a war hero for VP and runs for President.
6. Close race—Hillary wins.
7. She dismantles much of Obama’s Rule and healthcare.
Yep, they’ll vote Romney and never say a word.
I don't think there's any question that Valerie Jarret, Michelle Obama, and Axlerod run the Obama 'brain' fart trust. It's the Keystone Kops around that place. I don't think Obama's getting any sort of expert advice, and if he is, Jarret and Michelle are filtering most of it out.
That’s certainly possible.
The powers that be look at 0bama as a problem and they’ll figure it out.
The bottom line could be they want Romney because he will do damage control and slow down the train wreck.
Just no way.
Welcome to FR.
