The Government’s Boots on the Ground When It Hits the Fan May Be Your Neighbors
SHTF Plan ^ | 6/4/12 | Prepared Pastor

Posted on 06/04/2012 4:38:38 PM PDT by Kartographer

In July 2010, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), at Secretary Janet Napolitano’s direction, launched a national “If You See Something, Say Something™” public awareness campaign –a simple and effective program to raise public awareness of indicators of terrorism and violent crime, and to emphasize the importance of reporting suspicious activity to the proper state and local law enforcement authorities. While CERT teams predate this campaign by 25 years, the evidence is overwhelming that the program has been realigned to confirm to that mantra. Other than public relations/recruiting activities, the only service opportunity presented since I joined was entering surveillance data during a large community event.

If you are concerned about the federal government spending your tax dollars to train your neighbors to spy on you, the shadow army they are building through their Incident Command System should keep you up at night. It includes 428,500 men and women trained (as per the 2012 National Preparedness Report) and organized into local units. Units which have established call-out procedures for emergency response that will work just as well when the emergency is you. Sure, there are those who will refuse to respond (I will be at my retreat), but many will submit to the National Defense Resource Preparedness executive order signed by Barak Obama on March 16, 2012 which redefined authority expanded under the 2009 re-authorization of The Defense Production Act of 1950. The executive order makes it crystal clear that any labor deemed necessary in a state of emergency may be conscripted at the discretion of the government.

Also remember that a part of the healthcare bill was setting up a reporting system for IRS..................

A lot of “so-called” conservatives are actually statists or no-good busybodies who think they know how to run your life. Add in the totalitarian “police can do no wrong” types and you will realize that about half of the “so-called” conservatives are not going to be your friends when SHTF, since they really aren’t that much of a friend now.

One good thing about living in the hood is they don’t trust cops, local or federal, so there won’t be these kind of neighbors turning you in types.

I live in a crappy area of Memphis and no one here calls the cops for anything. They don’t trust them. One of the few advantages of living in the hood.

Excellent advise. I will make sure to remember and use this, if necessary. Not showing up and attempting to get food may signal you have a stash and bring the zombies looking for it.

You know me. I’m just an old lady with several cans of soup. I am to be pitied - certainly not a danger to anyone. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

I never trust little old ladies. Ever. And I never, ever, ever mess with them. They are dangerous.

We can be bought off with recipes. Just don’t leave out crucial steps or ingredients. Then, you will see *dangerous*.

Ummm. I learned in a school based on the Escoffier method.

Have you actually seen any of his recipes? Take #120. Sauce Hombard. 7.5 dl fish veloute, 1.5 dl cream, 80 g lobster butter and 40 g of red coloring butter (whateverinthehellthatis).

I'm good with that recipe, except for the red coloring butter thing, I would expect that you aren't happy with it.

As a civilian CERT facilitator is the most populated county in America and having a full knowledge of the program I can say this is BS.

If you're part of the traditional CERT infrastructure then you've probably been placed on the same list as the HAM radio operators.

I think you meant Sauce Homard? I actually have an aversion to the gooey colored parts of a lobster needed for a classic lobster butter. Not that we can get anything but frozen ones out here, without paying a fortune for delivery.

I’d hate to see you really mess with someone.

The communists truly fear dedicated intelligent preppers, first off its against the “share all” ideology. But foremost will be the lack of subservience due to lack of food, control the food, control the people.

So preppers are the anti-socialists, by being prepared and equipped to endure the upcoming manufactured food crisis they will be the wild cards, the unknowns, the resistance to the Federal Food Handouts for solidarity to the Socialists States of America.

The Socialist in control of America don’t really fear those armed to the teeth, they fear those that are and will oppose the carefully planned execution of strategically timed food shortages or emergencies.

Now to really get the campfire to burn big fast and hot would be for someone like Sarah Palin to endorse prepping for emergencies. But those in the know already realize that people like Sarah Palin can go out in the bush, in a boat or such and can live off the land with vigor, so easily indeed.

"If I see very many more Zombie stories I may go out and get a gun. Somebody out there is going to take advantage of those drugs."

Don't wait...get one this week. The lefties are constantly trying to infringe on your right to bear arms. A shotgun (with buckshot) is best for home protection, but a pistol is great as well. As for what size, talk to the sales expert, but in the end get whatever YOU are the most comfortable handling and shooting. Pistol probably needs to be bigger than a .22, but even that is better than nothing, and the ammo is DIRT CHEAP.
