And who, exactly is Ron Paul?

Why, he's the ONLY ONE still fighting Romney.

You remember Romney, doncha?

Ron Paul, the only one still slugging away - on the PRINCIPLE of the thing.

Everyone else?

Caved.

The nutcase supported by fools and 9/11 truthers and Iran-loving idiots. Is this the worm you are referring to? To Ron Paul and all his supporters, I say “good-bye douches!”

You forgot to mention the pot heads. They've done so much to get Paul so far they deserve recognition.

Pretty Much.

I’m no Paul fan, but I voted fir him this week just to thumb Obama and Romney in the eye.

Its a quandary.
Paul was the only guy left that could throw the delegate count off and drag this thing to a Tampa convention.

In the post-mortem of the USA history will prove that Ron Paul was Correct.
The enslavement of the US citizen by the Fed, endless wars that only benefit the bankers and rapid progression of this country to third world status.

Ron Paul is an honorable man who served his country. People who call him Crazy or nuts seem to be war mongers that want to send our boys to their deaths. If they want to fight a worthless war with Iran they should send their kids not mine.....

The guy whose supporters make the Free Republic He-Man Mitt-Haters Club look pretty normal by comparison.

Interesting that you seem to think that we are DEFINITELY headed for a “post-mortem” for this country. As far as I know the great majority of us here haven’t given up yet... and we WILL NEVER give up striving for true freedom, no matter what befalls this great nation.

As for your children - lucky for you the military is made up of VOLUNTEERS who give up their lives to protect idiots who fail to see that “non-intervention” isn’t going to work at this point in our world. [Jefferson was right in re: to entangling alliances, but that time is long past.]

There really are groups of people out there who could care less if the US is actively fighting a war or not. They want nothing more than to see us on our knees. We fought these same people back in WWII (which I’m guessing you aren’t aware of). AND, these people are now backed by countries that are our supposed “friends” as well (Russia and China) for example. If you believe that if we “leave them alone” they will in turn “leave us alone” then you haven’t been paying attention at ALL. Come join the real world instead of clinging to some idealistic view of the situations we face.

If you think the US is quickly descending into a “3rd world country”, pray tell in comparison to where? We are STILL the most free country in the world, despite the problems. We are STILL probably the ONLY country in the world that has a way to CORRECT the mistakes and raise ourselves up again, just like we did after the Depression.

As for Ron Paul himself, there are a great many things, particularly as it regards economics, that he is brilliant on. Foreign policy is decidedly not one of them.

Ron Paul does not have the public speaking ability to clearly convey his message - he’s great when writing, but gets tripped up talking. He doesn’t have a large following except in a VERY limited portion of our population - clearly not enough to affect a real challenge to Obama. Plus, there are the problems of HIS personal entangling alliances with Anti-Semites, and bigots. Nominating Paul would have assured an Obama victory, like it or not. I’m NOT a fan of Mitt Romney, but Paul wouldn’t have stood a chance.

Last, but not least by any stretch, if you’re really that convinced that the US is “gone” then why not move somewhere else where you’ll be more *proud*? Canada or Mexico are pretty close to California, ya know... In fact, why wait for the US to be a “3rd world country” when you could move to Mexico and actually learn EXACTLY what one really looks like... Depending on where you are in California, I suppose it might not look much different - what with your state being completely broke and all.

Romney is a stepping stone. We need to continue our battle to reinstate the US Constitution as the law of the land. A Romney win over Obama is a tiny victory but a victory non the less. Incremental people! Baby steps with rock solid focus on our goal will win the day. Will you please, all of you look at and realize this is a 50 year battle. Our short sighted view of political battles is killing us. We also must dig deep and sacrifice more dollars then we think we can afford. Like tithing folks. Do it on faith and do it like your grand children’s life depends on it. Our country is in peril.

Who is “we” ? The big gubmint RINO establishment coronated him, so let those imbeciles elect him over his tanner leftist brother in November (unless “we” can dump his sorry ass in Tampa). Until then, I’m voting Goode over evil.

“Our country is in peril.”

Yes, it certainly is - and I fear we won’t survive a second, unleashed term of BHO. Time is NOT on our side if that happens.

ABO, people! Obama is purposefully destroying America as fast as he can. And a second term where he has no worry about re-election would be unimaginable for most folks.

To the extent that he does that, all power to him. But if that results in him becoming the VP candidate, then it’s not worth it.

There is little that worries me more than the thought of an Obama second term.

Need to get behind Randy Weber. He was our State Representative for two terms and the cream of the crop. Strong business background, top true Conservative, honest, very available to his constituents, tireless, hard working and a man of his word. Harris served our area as City Council representative. A real do-nothing lawyer who, with Lampson, needs to be banished from the world of Texas politics once and for all.
