Understand that this is not a firm story. Not like DC Comics renumbering all their New DCU comics to issues zero through September, say.
This is based on a number of well sourced people and involves considerable hearsay.
It does however make a lot of sense.
Who is the, as yet unknown gay character being reintroduced to the DC Comics superhero titles? Male, an iconic character, someone who would become one of DC’s most prominent gay characters?
I’m hearing that it’s Alan Scott, the original Green Lantern.

The softer target would be your local comic shop...call them and tell them you do not appreciate them marketing this crap to children...most of these stores are a financial house of cards, and would not be able to stand against any semblance of bad publicity or a boycott. THEY will put the pressure of DC...we will be ignored.

She got her money first. Then she ingratiated herself to the “must attend” parties crowd.
Although I liked Green Lantern as a kid, he was too powerful, thus became boring. Kind of like Superman. It never made sense that Superman didn't just go medieval on criminals. Dead Lex Luthor= no more world-threatening evildoing.

It’s not Green Arrow. They said it won’t be a hero they’ve already reintroduced (last year, they “rebooted” their entire continuity, and are still rolling out some of their, erm, retooled characters).
They said one candidate is a character called Vibe. Never heard of him, but the name sounds appropriate.
Should be Aquaman. That character is totally gay.
Perhaps that ‘pedo bear’ should be part of AC/DC Comics new logo...
Maybe “The Rainbow Lantern”...
