One nation under God?

The phrase "One nation under God" has been officially part of the Pledge of Allegiance since 1954.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pledge_of_Allegiance#Addition_of_.22under_God.22

... The phrase "under God" was incorporated into the Pledge of Allegiance June 14, 1954, by a Joint Resolution of Congress amending §7 of the Flag Code enacted in 1942 ...

And we haven't won a single war since then.

Think about it.

I’m not sure of the theocratic interpretations en masse, but I can attest from personal experience that blaming God does no good.

The most common logical fallacy is “post hoc ergo propter hoc”.

We havn’t fought a war since then.

We have played at limited war, There is no way to wn a limited war.

There is no such thing as civilised war.

Wars are fought until the other guy surrenders unconditionally.

That we have not won a war since WW2 has to do with politics.
Our military won Korea and Vietnam.
Our politicians gave both away.
Our Military won Iraq and could win Afghanistan.
Our politicians gave both away.
When you can not even call war by its name and when you can not even call combat by its name you have lost before you have begun..........

Yup, a silly syllogism.

1. We incorporated “one nation under God” into the pledge of allegiance in 1954.

2. We have not won a war since 1954.

3. Therefore we have not won a war since 1954, because we incoroporated “one nation under God” into the pledge of allegiance.

Hmmmm, lets try another one.

1. HerrBlucher was born in 1954.

2. We have not won a war since 1954.

3. Therefore we have not won a war since 1954 because of the birth of HerrBlucher.

This is fun.......

Bush's fault.

And you're proof that you can't fix stupid.

We’re currently saddled with a POTUS who agrees with you. Seriously, did you stumble on FR by mistake?? HuffPo, atheist websites, Soros-backed sites, any number of others, would welcome your post.

The drive (which grows ever stronger) to ELIMINATE God from our society has caused much damage. The Founders (most if not all of whom worshipped God quite openly) would be ashamed of this.

And as far as wars, political correctness and leftist politicians are ham-stringing our military and will cause our demise if we allow them.

The phrase “One Nation Under God” is in the pledge because it reflects the feelings of the vast, vast majority of Americans. It is an affirmation and plea to their God for protection and guidance. And I find nothing wrong with that, and find no harm in it.

Thank you.

Korea was the first “no-win” and nestles in with the cold war deal. Reagan won the cold war, but soon after that the “liberals” started strategizing our defeats. In other words, the phrase “under God” was instituted about the same time we started moving away from God as a matter of national/social policy. Think about it......
