The right does it too.

Can you give an example or two. I cannot think of any example of my own thinking that I would impute to people on the left. I really don't think any of my own thinking is nefarious either.

My answers: (responses of which dictated by my previous answers, not that other points are irrelevant per se, but irrelevant as far as my answers are concerned)

1. Not at all. Even his most strident Demwit supporter would be offended at such an obviously transparent action. He’d be run out on a rail if he tried that.

2. Significant concern (with a caveat). I’d submit, any state that is contesting voter ID laws, and where such contests actually have a shot of succeeding, is already lost to the Dem machine, truly. IOW, already known as a blue state, so not really a net gain for Obama.

4. Slightly concerned. He may try to repeat the contest of 2000; I can already see the headlines now, “If Bush can do it, why can’t Obama?”

5. Only VERY “slightly concerned”. I only say that because there’s no way to predict the weather/natural disasters. And it would have to be a natural disaster to even consider such an obviously transparent action; a natural disaster of significant proportion that such a “crisis” would reasonably extend past the time the new President would be sworn in. See the movie “Deep Impact”, “2012”, or the supposed “Myan prophecies” for what I’m talking about here. Also, it would have to be a natural disaster, not some man made disaster; see point 1.

6. If point 1 occurs, there will be an almost immediate uprising, with no real “civil war”. Again, he’ll just simply be thrown out almost immediately. If point 5 occurs, to the degree I specified, there won’t be enough of humanity left to engage in Civil War II, so kind of a moot point.

(other questions, again, ignored for their irrelevancy given my answers)

Did you hear his speech today in Ohio where he said he wants to “defund the military and use that money to fix our roads, bridges and have more wifi.”

No, I don’t listen to him because I get ill even seeing his face.

They’re off on timing but that is to be expected as governments and corporations keep coming up with more ways to kick the “can” further down the road.

The “can” is now a 55 gallon barrel and there’s little road left.

{Another Freeper said that but I’ll use it here}.

I guess I forgot this:

If point 4 occurs, I don’t see that inciting a second civil war. People in this country, IMO, have enough faith in the court system to work that kind of replay out.

In general, I don’t think a second civil war is a significant concern. Quite frankly, I think we have more to worry about from the “Mayan Prophecies” than another civil war breaking out in this country. The majority of this country are simply too apathetic and/or uninformed for such to take place.

After all, there are more important things than politics, like who will be the next “American Idol”. < /sarc>

I’d be curious to see the overlap between the “I’m sitting this one out” and “Obama won’t leave office” crowd.

A lot will vote for Romney but will never admit it.

Yes, we will have an election. If Obama wins it, it will be because we ran a lousy candidate and conservatives stayed home. If conservatives hold their nose and push Romney to victory, Obama will leave the White House at noon next January 20th where he will enjoy a lucrative post-presidential career on the lecture circuit and playing golf.

Romney had better use that in a campaign commercial.

There’s so much ammunition to use against 0bama.

Yes there is.

I fear though, since we're most likely stuck with Romney at this point, that another "compassionate campaign" is going to be run against Obama, which is why I answered "Slightly concerned" for point 4.

Point 4 is a possibility if there's another squeaker like in 2000; and a very close race is possible if a "compassionate campaign" is run against him. If a REAL campaign were run, like a real conservative would have done, then this would be no contest.

Romney had better get after it and hit him hard and give him absolutely no quarter. Romney needs to put him on the defensive and hit, hit, hit.....

If 0bama wins, we are royally screwed in every way possible.

Not to new. Began posting in 2000 but my initial account got corrupted so I had to change my screen name.

I think most of the folks saying here saying they won't vote for Romney, and that it would be better if Obama won, believe that in good faith. I just think they're horribly, horribly wrong.

They don’t realize how absolutely evil he is and how he will do all he can to destroy the United States.
