Something isn’t right about his story....since he knows how China has treated him.. and his family before...why would his friends help him escape and not prepare and secure his family before they helped him escape, instead of leaving them out there??????

John Bolton was just on Greta. He says the poor guy is toast. He says the Chinese will take pics of Hilary’s plane taking off tomorrow, show them to the dissidents and tell them to remember it.
Uh, how about because he's blind and under house arrest? How about because even an idiot would comprehend it's easier to get one person out than a family, and then use the leverage of international attention from the security of the US Consulate to get the family?

His "cause" is China's atrocity abortions and the fact that they are slowly killing him and his family. His "fame" is the only thing he has to try to stay alive. This "stuff" is supposedly what a Secretary of State is supposed to deal with, on behlaf of freedom and justice (you know, all the things HIllary is talking about now that she threw him back to his death).

Ah, shills. They always announce themselves. Part of what is laughingly referred to as your "training," no doubt. Probably came with a scary shoulder patch, too. The only thing not to "buy" is YOU, creating "loose ends" where there are none, redirecting attention to the wrong places, and declaring Hillary the victim, and her victim somehow in control of two of the most powerful countries on the planet - while blind, under house arrest, and concerned about his wife being beaten to death and losing his child, before he is murdered (as that's what he's been promised by the benevolent Chinese).

I know this is a serious matter and this comment is insensitive, but every time I see the blind guy on TV I wonder why he has better looking hair then most Chinese men? But it does make me remember him and that is the point, right?
Look....if his family was significant in this, and especially because he’s blind....then why on earth if he knew they’d be hurt would he even consider the plan without also providing an escape for them?????
Because ‘he’s an activist’ he knows about such things...and he surely knew doing this at this time would indeed create danger for his family.
I’m sorry but I want to see more of this story before I will buy it as he’s presenting it. What I see is an activist operating as activists do.

....but that he had been ‘invited to attend New York University’ and hoped “to go to the United States and rest for several months.”
That would give Chinese officials a face-saving opportunity to allow Mr. Chen and his family to leave China in the same manner as do scores of thousands of Chinese students every year, according to Jerome A. Cohen, a New York University law professor and adviser to Mr. Chen who discussed the proposal with him this week.

The diplomatic crisis erupted after Mr. Chen came to believe that the Chinese government would not honor the bargain and began telling friends from his hospital bed that he feared for his and his family’s safety. So there you have it...he got what he wanted...and for his prank put our nation in Jeopardy
