Eliza Moore (1843 - January 21, 1948) was the last proven African-American slave. Eliza was said to have been born a slave in Montgomery County, Alabama in 1843. She died at the age of 105 on January 21, 1948 in Montgomery County, Alabama.
So the oldest black slave DIED 64 years ago and it was likely twice that since she could have given birth.
Thus, no current American’s mother or grandmother was a slave.
My great grandmother was a Native American Indian who had her land robbed by the U.S. government. My only connection is my great skin tone and easy ability to tan.

I don’t think slavery ended; it was transferred.

Theyre gonna milk this forever - or at least until November. No, they are going to milk it forever, regardless what happens in November.

There isn’t a black in America who is or was a slave. And neither were their parents. Stop using slavery as an excuse and get your butt moving. It’s called a work ethic..whether in a factory or in school.

Anthony Johnson came to the colonies as an indentured servant from Angola. When his contract was paid he was given a farm and contracted an indentured servant for himself.
A fire on Johnson’s farm destroyed the record of the contract with his indentured servant and Johnson refused to release the man. The case went to court and the court found in favor of Johnson who declared that the indentured servant’s debt could never be paid off. True slavery in America was born.

“My descendents were probably slaves in Rome. “
“Ancestors” like yours, like mine! I hope your descendants are never slaves.

"There is another class of colored people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles, they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongs -- partly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs...
There is a certain class of race-problem solvers who do not want the patient to get well, because as long as the disease holds out they have not only an easy means of making a living, but also an easy medium through which to make themselves prominent before the public."

Well, there are many thousands of slaves right now in the U.S., just not from the era of the slave-holding American South. How is it possible that they are both in the U.S. now, and still slaves from elsewhere?
Unless you are referring to embassies from koranimal countries like Saudi Arabia.

As leaders of the white tribe, we must offer up Chrissy as a blood sacrifice to the forever offended Black tribe and it’s angry gods. There will be another offering next week. Don’t laugh, Rachel and Keith.

So the first liberal/slave evolved.
To: Caipirabob
Yes, because I was a slave so recently it still burns in my mind and is reflected in everything I do. We were all slaves at some point, unless someone claims having an uninterrupted line of Egyptian Pharaohs and European Kings as his predecessors.
