So, is there anyone left who still doesnt recognize the absurd upside-down priorities of government driven by political correctness and environmental extremism? If so, get a gander at this news out of San Franciso (where else?):
(CNSNews.com) The government spent at least $205,075 in 2010 to translocate a single bush in San Francisco that stood in the path of a$1.045-billion highway-renovation project that was partially funded by the economic stimulus legislation President Barack Obama signed in 2009.
Yeah, a couple hundred grand of your tax money to move a bush.
Why? you might ask. . .

Why do you think JimRob included a blog forum on HIS site???? Jim once mentioned (Gunny has a link to the post) that the Bloggers forum is for posting blogs in their entirety whenever possible. Copyright restrictions apply, and it's assumed if a blogger personally posts his/her material on FR, those restrictions are waived and the entire piece should be posted.
There are other full-time bloggers who post on FR that honor Jim's request, then there are those who don't. In fact, most don't.

Yeah, basically. The “tell” is if you go to the site and there are a bunch of paid ads and pop-ups/unders. Many times you click and there are no paid ads, but if there are, the blogger be pimpin.’

Just ran across this on the net...
What has America become? (opinion)
by Hesh Goldstein
(NaturalNews) It seems that America has become the land of the special interest and the home of the double standard. If we lie to Congress it’s a felony, but if Congress lies to us it’s just politics; if we dislike a black person we’re racist, but if a black person dislikes us it’s their 1st Amendment right; the government spends millions to rehabilitate criminals, but the do almost nothing for the victims; in public schools you can teach that homosexuality is OK, but you better not use the word God in the process; you can kill an unborn child, but it’s wrong to execute a mass murderer; we don’t burn books in America, we simply rewrite them; we got rid of the communist and socialist threat by renaming them progressives; we are unable to close our border to Mexico, but have no problem protecting the 38th parallel in Korea; if you protest President Obama’s policies you are a terrorist, but if you burned an American flag or George Bush in effigy it is your 1st Amendment right.
You can have pornography on TV or the internet, but you better not put a nativity scene in a public park during Christmas; we have eliminated all criminals in America, but now we call them sick people; we can use a human fetus for medical research, but it’s wrong to use an animal.
We take money from those who work hard for it and give it to those who don’t want to work; we all support the Constitution, but only when it supports our political ideology; we still have freedom of speech, but only if we are being politically correct; parenting has been replaced with Ritalin and video games; the land of opportunity is now the land of hand-outs; the similarity between Hurricane Katrina and the gulf oil spill is that neither president did anything to help.
And how do we handle a major crisis today? The government appoints a committee to determine who’s at fault, then threatens them, passes a law, raises our taxes, and tells us the problem is solved so they can get back to their reelection campaign.
We have candidates running for office wooing us with promises and platitudes for our votes and when elected become “hookers” for the corporations and caring little for those that elected them; we have Governors, Dept of Agriculture heads, Attorney Generals and Legislators that eagerly accept campaign contributions from food polluting companies that think nothing of threatening lawsuits to states that want to pass bills giving the people the opportunity of knowing what they eat.
What has happened to the land of the free and the home of the brave?

the government spends $250,000 to move a bush. It runs the agriculture department with more civil servants than the number of farmers. Government at all levels is so out of control, has become so bloated, so controlling, many people have yet to realize it.

Thanks!
Comments like that need to be in the main stream media repeated often and loudly whenever the Democrats or Rinos claim the government needs more money.

The MSM is simply the propaganda are of the progressives. They are of no use to anyone except those who wish to pull the wool over the eyes of the sheeple. They simply do not report the news.
Here are some real news items you will not see on the MSM:
There is a race war going on in the USA right now.
The Communist Part of China is ripping itself apart right now.
The European "economic crisis" is not going away. Many big banks and sovereign governments are going to default soon.
The POTUS (origins, medical history, educational history unknown) continues to wage war against America, especially in the areas of energy, black privilege, and individual liberty. In addition he is systematically kicking your closest allies (UK, Canada) and coddling you worst enemies.
Not one of these stories will appear on any of the news shows tonight, maybe even including Fox. You are, however, guaranteed to get a story about a black street thug in Florida who attacked the wrong white man, sorry, white looking hispanic.

I forgot this one. You have an Energy Secretary who does not own a car, thinks solar and wind can replace oil, nuclear, and coal, and wants everybody to paint their roofs white. And this guy is a Nobel laureate.
Here is an example of how bad things really are. Follow my energy policy, three steps:
1. Close the Energy Department and the EPA immediately. All their rules and regulations go away.
2. Allow pipelines to be built anywhere upon state approval, federal approval is not needed.
3. Allow and encourage drilling everywhere. Let the states decide where and whether to allow it.
What do you think would happen to the price of energy in 24 hours if this policy was initiated?

That’s funny.
By the way, no one has explained to me yet why it’s wrong to post an excerpt on FR linking to a full item elsewhere when FR provides an option to do precisely that.
It seems the practice runs afoul of some odd sensitivity that boils down to personal preference.
Here’s a good solution for those offended: Don’t click through.
But McGruff, that was a funny response.

"It seems the practice runs afoul of some odd sensitivity that boils down to personal preference."
If you actually read the comment directed at you, you would understand this "odd sensitivity." It boils down to this - You're a freeloader and a pimp.
You are not actually a participating member of this community, you're just a parasitic growth, feeding off a venue provided through the donations of others.
The excerpt function was put in place as a legal device so that FR could protect itself from legal action by adversarial news sources. The OC Register has demanded that only excerpts be allowed on FR, yet you feel no compunction to use this venue which you have (de facto) threatened to pimp the same stories for hits and revenue.
If you want to know what the management of this site really thinks of your actions, just read the quotes from JimRob which Gunner and I both linked in our previous posts on this thread.
You feign surprise that anyone is offended when you have demonstrated both by inaction and action that you don't really want to join in our party here a FR, but you're going to help yourself to the snacks and drinks anyway.
Pimp.
