Many people know Presidential Mitt Romney as a Republican candidate running for President who likes to complain about President Obama. Many do not see him as a former Mormon Bishop in charge of thousands of Mormon congregants. An investigation based on interviews suggest Romney was pretty radical in his Mormon beliefs. According to a Huffington news report - as a young bishop, Romney got word that Carroll Shelton, a woman in his ward, was considering an abortion. This was Shelton's sixth pregnancy. She was in her 40s, had four teenage children and had developed medical complications. As the story goes Sheltons stake president had already approved the procedure when Bishop Romney arrived at the hospital and forcefully counseled her against it (see: Mitt Romney Was A Mormon Bishop Before He Became A Politician. Some say demanded it using the full force of his position as Bishop within the LDS church. Peggie Hayes, a single woman with a child, was in Romney's ward when she became pregnant. She alleges that Romney threatened her with excommunication if she didn't put up the baby for adoption, Boston Globe reporters Michael Kranish and Scott Helman write in their book "The Real Romney." GIVE UP YOUR MORMON GOD "Give up your son,"was the message Hayes said she got from Romney, "or give up your God." That is a heavy trip to lay on someone says Pattie Cooper of Charlotte, N.C. I worry about what he will do when he is President and the Mormons get into the White House
will he do stuff like that?, she said. Continue reading on Examiner.com Romney, as Mormon Bishop threatens woman "give up your baby or give up your God"

Some choice, hmmmm; a benevolent con man or an authoritarian Marxist...
The lds-org denies that Jesus is the Creator, that everything was created THROUGH Him, BY Him and FOR Him.
The lds-org is a thief of the Name and the Truth of Jesus Christ.
impressionistic sunrise
If he indeed said that, I stand behind him on it.
I’m not a Mormom, but the principle applies.
If you believe God forbids abortion, and you do it anyway, you are leaving God.
It is not the unforgiveable sin, but it is a break. We can’t just run around killing people and saying it’s no big deal.
It’s beginning and it’s really going to get ugly as the campaigns move on throught the summer and fall. Will “o” come out and condemn the trashing of another man’s religion or will it be fair game to do the same of his beliefs if anyone in the GOP has the guts to do it?? His certainly isn’t Christianity so why not just say it?
throught=throughout
Sorry!!
ROFL. That was good.
“Frankly, while against abortion, the issue is not a big one for me.”
Well, you got born.
What bashing? Since when is speaking the truth bashing?
You must be a democrat basher, which is beyond the pale, using your own logic.
Frankly, I don’t care. Religion disqualifies both of them in my book so I say let’s make it an issue. Maybe we can have someone else.
Actually, a good analogy. We know Zimmerman pulled the trigger on a teen; we know Romney has "pulled the trigger" on the pre-born, especially with his $50 taxpayer-funded abortions in MA.
The only Q that a trial will bring out: Did Zimmerman have cause to pull the trigger?
Did Romney have cause to dismember the pre-born?
You're not advocating that Romney had cause to openly dismember pre-born in MA, are you?
I included you because the post I was responding to was directed at you. Freeper etiquette.
Who are Mitt Romney’s other six wives? I would think their names would have made the papers by the time they all died, as you suggest.
So you posted a positive article about Mitt Romney. He encourages women to have their out-of-wedlock babies and give them up for adoption. That is extremely admirable.
Are you trying to make Romney look good? Do you support him?
It seems that you have a comprehension problem. I was talking about his grand-father’s seven wives, not Mitt’s. Reread my earlier post ... slowly.
You said Mitt Romney dreamed of having seven wives. It’s there in black and white. Read it.
I’m asking who his seven wives are. All I’ve read about is Ann Romney.
Who are Mitt Romney’s other six wives?
Or do they not exist?
The derilections of Romney where conservatism is concerned are all public information and Obama and the Media have had their attack lined up for months because they wanted him as the competitor to Obama all along.
Ok. So what's the brilliant strategy behind posting it here as "news"?
Romney, with his left-wing, Progressive Liberal record, is the only candidate that guarantees an Obama win, by landslide proportions.
Hate to tell you Bubba but unless you have tricks up your sleeve it looks like he'll get the nomination. My question, as you call it "hogwash" is whether you and your brethren will continue to post this stuff if Romney gets the nomination.
They will use the following record against him like a club until his candidacy is nothing but a bloody pulp.
Again, what's done is done. Is this some sort of penance you must do? Preach to the choir and give aid and comfort to the enemy at the same time?
Unless you are a party hack lookiong to sing “kumbaya”, Romney is an enemy. He and Obama are one of the same. At least we get rid of Zero in 2016 whereas we are likely stuck with Myth until 2020. I’m voting for Virgil Goode and I will sleep well doing so.
And you’ve about confirmed my suspicions you’re a troll.
He encourages women to have their out-of-wedlock babies and give them up for adoption. That is extremely admirable.

You are assuming that is the motivation. It wasn’t an out of wedlock birth, she was married with 5 other kids. This one had ‘complications’.
And the motivation in Mormonism is all about control of the membership. Been there done that.
Jan Mickelson reads a Mormon statement that says Mormons are against abortion, but Romney denies this and says you can be for abortion and be a good Mormon. He says Mormons in leadership position believe in abortion. Listen to what he says about the Mormon Church and abortion at 10:58 into the tape on this thread.
I think this tape should have a different title, something like “Mitt, Mormons, and Abortion flip-flops” would be better.
