Richard Jewell won a lawsuit against select media. Zimmerman should be able to sue NBC. Discovery should provide some interesting information.

I’d like to get a lawyer’s opinion on this, but in the case of someone like Michael Nutter — the mayor of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania — does he have any legal protection that requires the taxpayers of Philadelphia to pay his legal bills if he is sued personally for slander? I mean, it’s not as if he has any reason to make ANY statements at all, in his capacity as Philadelphia’s mayor, about a shooting in Florida.

Personally, I’d start with the deep pockets of Al Sharpton’s employer, the Microsoft/National Broadcasting Company.

I’m an attorney, but if he was acting in his capacity as Mayor (he likely was) then the taxpayers foot the bill. Where the taxpayers don’t pay would be something like he is in a car accident while taking the kids to a baseball game. REALLY has to be outside the scope.

It would be terrific if he did sue them all. He should. Here are some more targets.
The first was NBC, which admitted doctoring a 911 tape. This is not an accident that takes place in the hustle and bustle of putting together a newscast.
Then all of a sudden ABC decides that they're gonna enhance the video, and they say that they strip a layer away -- this is police video, by the way, now -- and that all of a sudden, lo and behold, there is evidence of injury on the back of George Zimmerman's head.
Now it is CNN saying that after enhancing the audio of Zimmerman's 911 call, they don't think he used a racial slur after all.
The Lynch Mob Media achieved its purpose. It whipped up a frenzy of racial hatred to promote its leftist agenda. Now they're doing a few "oops" corrections to try and save some credibility with the gullible. Only a fool would buy anything they peddle after this.

If the people voted in a race hating socialist mayor, it would be fine if they were sued to kingdom come.

There should be a trademark on Treyvon’s punch. Anybody see any similarities here?

Bah. I don't think you can fault the media for doing its job... the job of reporting the vicious murder of an unarmed African American baby by a cold blooded white hispanic predator.

Just like Hussein had any reason to make any statement about this either. Zimmerman and this whole country is due an ice tea and Skittles summit along with Hussein’s exit apology.
