On Wednesday, Arby's inflamed the conservative blogosphere with the announcement on Twitter that it will no longer advertise on Rush Limbaugh's show. Big mistake. The statement probably would've blown over, like all the rest of them, but Arby's moves following the announcement have awakened a sleeping giant. Shortly after its statement, the Arby's Twitter account went on a rampage blocking users who disagreed with the franchise, as Twitchy reported:

Both were culinary delights.
Dad used to get Roy Rogers in Dallas, fly from Love Field to Tulsa and still have hot sandwiches to bring to Sapulpa.
That was a lifetime ago.

Heck I will still eat there at least once a week. My favorites are the hot ham and cheese, the french dip, arbyq and of course the potato cakes are the best.

I stopped going to Arby’s in the 90’s as I heard they were Dem supporters. Sucks that I need to ditch Schlotzkys now to.

Let’s see.....Limbaugh apologized on March 3, over a month ago. This has been a non-issue since. Now Arby’s (Rourk Capital) wants to stir up the mud now......a month after the apology??
Arby’s revenues will go down in the long term as a result of this. I would not be surprised if it is a double digit decline. Rourk will feel it. But what is the most disturbing is that the smaller individual franchisee’s around the country will experience the brunt of these declines, not Rourk. Some may and probably will go under. If I were franchisee, I would be pi$$ed at Arbys for kicking a sleeping dog NOW after one month since the apology.

Never heard an Arby's commercial on Rush. Sounds like a local problem.
Best fast food fish sandwiches. 2 for $4.

I think there is a relation between the recent announcements from Arbys and Walgreens pulling local ads from Rush and the new Huckabee show just starting. Arbys is owned by Rourk Capital, who are big Romney supporters. Huckabee is supporting Romney too. I would not be surprised if the left (MediaMatters) and the center-left (Rinos) are both trying to take down Rush and conservatism.
I keep on wondering why are Arbys and Walgreens doing thus now, when Rush apologized over the incident over a month ago. I think giving a spotlight to Huckabee and RinoRadio is the answer.

They are a national account that buys stations on their demos...Usually represented by a National Rep like Katz Radio. My guess is that the numbnuts at Arbys (Roark Capital Group owns 81.5% of the company, with Wendy’s Company owning the other 18.5%.) told it’s agency to buy around Rush’s program...Bad move..

Alas, I gave up all "fast food" and alcohol/mixers over 1½ years ago, and lost 85-lbs in 4 months. I make a real fine broiled fish sandwich that would knock your socks off, AGP. Getting all of that nasty stuff out of my system was one of the best moves I've ever made, especially since turning 62. Now if I could just quit the Marlboros!
