Jefferson believed Supreme Court justices who undermine the principles of the Constitution ought to be impeached, and that wasn’t just idle talk. During his presidency, Jefferson led the effort to oust Justice Salmon Chase, arguing that Chase was improperly seizing power. The Senate acquitted Chase in 1805, and no Justice has been impeached since, but as the Supreme Court threatens to nullify the health-care law, Jefferson’s idea is worth revisiting.
The problem with the current court is not merely that there is a good chance it will strike down a clearly constitutional law. The problem is that this decision would be the latest salvo in what seems to be a sustained effort on the part of the Roberts Court to return the country to the Gilded Age. [...]

I for one wish there were enough votes to impeach Kagan! Her participation in this legal review is at odds with law. She demonstrates her utter lack of reason or judgement.

This is truly amazing. In the 1960’s, the John Birch Society and some others on the right started a movement to impeach Chief Justice Earl Warren, and the liberal media portrayed them as lunatics, subversives, etc.
I saw a statistic one time that said that 97% of all Newsweek readers are waiting to have a root canal or colonoscopy.

Well well this is the best evidence yet to me that the left see Obamacare is circling the drain. What scares me most is that the same sinister forces threatening the press into silence can/will do the same with these Justices and/or their families. This scares the crap out of me. This man and his accomplices are monstrous.
Check and balances is what it’s all about. No gaming the system here, if the other two branches don’t like what you’re selling, and shoot the idea down, tough s—t, go back to the drawing board and start over.
This is their latest “look over here” at this injustice. The Trayvon lie is dieing down so they must invent a new straw man.
