Not the list of 25 I would make, but not too bad. For example, I am not sure 9 is appropriate as a must know skill? 12 and 22 are basically the same and whats with 16...anyway...

I think the prerequisites are basically, attitude, planning, water, fire, food (hunting, planting and gathering), defensive techniques and offensive techniques. Look at the primary skills semi-nomadic people groups have for guidance.

Other key skills that are able to be learned and useful would be basic blacksmithing, woodworking and a basic knowledge of chemistry.

I always consider such list as fodder for discussion and pondering the question. Getting people to think is always a good thing!

Heavier on medicine and first aid, personally. Sanitation and hiding the fact people are around with supplies.

16. Learn to control pest and other vermin.

Pests smaller than your thumb are to be squished. Pests smaller than your foot are to be stomped on. Medium sized pests or those you don't want near your foot are to be bashed with anything handy. Large pests are to be shot on the spot. Most provide protein so after you've "controlled" them, they should be served up for dinner.
