"Ranting" Andy Hoffman is back for another Monday Rant. We talked about noted gold investor Jim Sinclair and his decision to flee the US before it's too late. While Americans have a number of options regarding where to flee, before the ultimate collapse of the greenback, there really are very few choices. There's so much anti-American sentiment around the globe, one can only wonder how much worse it can/will get if a systemic collapse that leads to mass global disorder occurs. While it will be easy to blame the US for causing it, it will greatly limit your choices on where to flee to.
Andy believes sticking it out in the good, old US-of-A will be the best choice for most of us. While it may not be a good idea to move to a large city, put all your wealth in a "zombie" bank and hope for the best, there are number of viable options that you should consider. Storing some food, having a backup generator and keeping a supply of needed drugs on hand is always a good idea because supply chains can get interrupted. It's best to be prepared rather than surprised! Remember that old military adage, "Proper Planning and Preparation Prevents Piss Poor Performance!"
If you ever really, seriously start researching where you might immigrate to, it’s shocking how few countries allow immigrants, especially if you’re past 45 years of age.
Also, you’re required to prove sources of income and so much more.
I grew up on a farm, I think if things get too bad in this country I will move to Japan to the northern island and work on / run a farm for the rest of my life, Japan needs farmers as the farmer population is greying out and I think they will appreciate the extra help and at least earn my keeop there.
At least Japan would be a little better than Obamunism....
I have a short list of countries, Including Canada (provided they swing further right), Chile, Japan, South Korea, and Iceland.
That may be true, provided you are an excellent swimmer./s

I have made the case for staying here. There is no other safe haven. Network with like minds, and solution oriented folks. If things collapse nationally, it will not just trickle down to the state and local level. States are IMHO totally unprepared, and they need to be prepared to take care of business. Keeping things operating within their state. Those with an agricultural base and energy resources are going to have an advantage over those without. One disadvantage everyone should be aware of, is local electrical power vs the GRID. How many cities do you know, have the ability to generate electrical power for local consumption? Consider again the soon to be shutdown of gigawatts of coal powered electricity.
Consider what it will be like getting electrical resources from miles away via the grid, which may very well be useless in a major financial disaster.
Consider the complete lack, or apparent lack of any cohesive energy policy or plan that will address the sad state of national emergency plans for financial ruin, and what follows. Are we hearing anything but wind and solar?
In a disaster wind and solar are in the DC world, where the needs of the people, will be almost completely AC power.
This Larry Putz is a homo, advocating surrender.
Ol’ Larry, she should just go hang herself and solve her own problem.
