You sound like Gilbo now. He refuses to join the TEAM:)
How about that post last night saying that the US now borrows 60% of it's deficit from the Federal Reserve? And notice the crickets from Republicans on that. You know why?
Votes=economy=immediate satisfaction=deficit spending=get mad later.
Ed Schultz had a NOW woman on last night who was saying that Obama will win the election because women care more about getting free birth control than they do about the National Debt or the deficit. The Dem women in the live audience agreed and snickered at a quote from Romney for stating otherwise.
Sort of amazing to watch a country implode by popular demand.
I sure hope these FReepers can shoot straight : )

Great minds think alike, brother...
If the GOP had our interests at heart, they would have stood up, as one, at his last State of the Union, and turned their backs on him, publicly, and HELD that posture as long as he was at the podium.
After three years of listening to this maniac, three years of having their agenda rammed down our throats and up our arses, after three years of watching them gloat as they told our side to sit down, shut up, and suck on it, you’d think that anyone with a SHRED of testosterone and testicular fortitude would have stood up, flipped this dictator wannabe the middle finger, and simply turned his back on him as long as his mouth was moving.
That no one did is telling to me. They’re either cowards, complicit, or a bit of both. They either don’t know how to fight back, or worse - don’t WANT to fight back - and are completely willing to give us over to the ideology we have trained our military to destroy for over 85 years.
We beat our heads against the rhetorical wall out here, wondering why “our” side won’t fight back - ESPECIALLY when this douche gives SO much ammunition to use - and the only conclusion I can see anymore is as Judge Napolitano said...they’re on the same side ultimately - THEM versus the rest of us.
I don’t see any other possibility anymore.

Shoot straight, hell...at this point, I’m just hoping SOMEBODY shows up at all...
Sometimes, I sorta feel like that lone Chinaman standing in front of the tanks in Tianeman Square...

They have become The Ruling Class in D.C. If we don’t clean house, and set term limits, so these a$$holes cannot get entrenched in Washington, we will lose our country anyway.

What a perfect comparison.
Peter Schiff’s rules:
Rule 1 : Republicans in the minority act like Republicans, in the majority they act like Democrats
Rule 2 : Republicans talk like Republicans when running for election, but after they are elected they follow rule 1.
Rule 3 : we are screwed!
No term limits....no country.
Boehner & McConnell aren’t even alive, from what I see.
been there done that since daddy bush...going FRee agent and lettin the [bull] chips fall where they may...
Im sorry...was that mean? Was that Harsh and Insensitive?...
pattacake with reach around types has been such for far too long...they need US, not vicey versey...
Sort of amazing to watch a country implode by popular demand...
those who refuse to study history are doomed...the nature of man has NOT changed since the Beginning...re-inventing the wheel is a mental masturbation that has plagued man every generation, and those who seek power and control simply revert to the tried and true to obtain the fruits of others, with the inevitable collapse EVERY TIME...
US now borrows 60% of it's deficit from the Federal Reserve?...
so long as ive got checks, i aint broke...*IF* i own the bank/press...
this is probably the greatest indicator of the impending financial collapse on the horizon...the crash and then a swift hyperinflation are almost guarenteed when 'money' appears from thin air at that percentage...itll come hard and faster than most will be able to comprehend...
the only conclusion I can see anymore is as Judge Napolitano said...theyre on the same side ultimately - THEM versus the rest of us.
right wing-left wing...both attatched to the tyranny-o-saurus bird of prey...too bad the founders were forgotten when they established a working bird of Pray...
I agree with that, but: Unless you can give me 60 conservative R votes in the Senate, I can't sit out the top of the ticket and risk a Kennedy or Scalia retirement, not to mention Holder.
How could re-election of this maniac, in any form or fashion could be good for anyone? He is a muslim, acting through selfish socialism pandering to this country’s low lifes to keep his rule 4 more years to complete its destruction.
There is no second chance in this. We either defeat him here and now or our country perishs as we know it. There is not one goddam upside to his being re-elected -—— NONE!...
Get with the progam dreamer. Dreaming that there are future counters to 4 more years of this tyrant killer is infantile.
Billy from Beverly Hills Cop? I think you mean Stephen Reinhardt.
I do agree, although it's going to really pain me this November barring a shocker.
If Romney's a Harding, I'll take that. I expect him to be a Clinton myself.
“likes of Judge Reinhold and Mario Cuomo to SCOTUS.
Billy from Beverly Hills Cop? I think you mean Stephen Reinhardt.”
Actually, had Carter won reelection and nominated Judge Reinhold to SCOTUS back in 1982, Reinhold surely would have turned him down so that he could continue to film “Fast Times” with Phoebe Cates . . . .
Yes, Harding got the government entirely out of the railroads, sold off government shipping, and so on. Did a great job.
So you not buying that 'We have to vote for Stalin to beat Hitler' analogy that the other freeper threw at me?
File that with the bucket of bad analogies,
I read lots of history and I hate Stalin, and Mao, and Po Pot. Just because they didnt have 1000+ movies about them like Hitler did doesnt convince me to vote for them.
Kennedy, Scalia, Ginsbug, and Breyer (who will be 74 in August) could all retire after 2016, and Romney, if elected in 2012, might lose in 2016. Or some of them might retire or die before 2017. Romney might appoint "moderates" worse than Kennedy (who voted with the 4 Demons to rule that CO2 is a "pollutant" in 2007). Or he might appoint conservatives, who knows. Expect another Bork episode if any conservative is nominated to replace Ginsburg or Breyer. Even if the GOP could pick up enough senate seats to gain control of the senate judiciary committee, I would guess Dems would filibuster in that case.
One thing that bothers me is the number of pro-global-warming advisors Romney has. Other flip flops on immigration, abortion....
You can be a Romney Republican or you can be a conservative. You can’t be both. Pick one.
I can think of at least one thing that is infinitely worse than the prospect of Obamas reelection:
The abandonment of all principle by conservatives.
We can survive wicked men in office. Weve done it before...But we cant survive an electorate that is utterly without principle. Especially that part of the electorate that should be the moral backbone of the body politic.
