In an exclusive interview with The Blaze, Rep. Bobby Rush (D-IL) explains what motivated him to break House rules and put on a hoodie during a chaotic speech on Tuesday. It was a speech that eventually led to him getting yanked from the podium.
When asked on Tuesday afternoon why he wore the hoodie on the House floor, he responded, “To demonstrate my outrage of Trayvon Martin’s Murder.”
“The reason he was killed was because he was a black man wearing a hoodie in a white neighborhood,” he added.
