McCain Says Romney Too Damaged to Win-GOP Needs Brokered Convention
The Red Side of Life Conservative Musings from New York ^ | 3/23/12 | RedInNewYork

Even the most diehard Romney supporter knows that Mitt Romney is not the best the entire Republican Party has to offer. I’m sure you can think of at least one person – just one – who would be better. Well, then, give that person a chance! At a brokered convention, anyone, even someone not currently in the race, can become the nominee. This is important to note, and it may be critical to our success in November.

Even Romney booster John McCain admits that Romney is so damaged at this point that he will probably be defeated by Obama in November. This doesn’t have to be the case!

A brokered convention severely hurts the Democrats in several ways. First and foremost, they will not have a GOP candidate to target until August. That means that the Democrats, and the media, will have a severely limited amount of time to attack our nominee, once selected. Democrats will also have a harder time fundraising without being able to put a face on their opposition, and that will trickle-down to the Senate and House levels of the ticket. Moreover, they will be facing an energized Republican Party.

Imagine the excitement of a new, fresh roster of candidates entering the race. The GOP needs this kick in the butt, an injection of new life into the process. Why would we ever want to put the Titanic at the top of the ballot when we can have a shining new hope instead?

If you could pick anyone in the whole party to be our nominee, anyone, who would that person be? Well, by staying on a sinking ship, you are denying that person the chance to win it for us in November.

It’s not too late to make a course correction toward victory.

McCain - please go away.... you’ve already had your 15 minutes. I don’t care for Romney, but you’re the reason Obama is in office!

How can a person not chuckle. He endorses Romney, then does this. LOL

Backstabber McCain. Not even Romney can trust him.

The Romney camp probably told Juan to sit down and shaddup and McCain got offended.

Funny stuff

Such a dilemma.

On one hand, if anybody knows about defeat, it would certainly be Juan McCain.

On the other hand, if McCain is pushing for a brokered convention, then maybe Romney could be the best RINO the GOP could possibly get this time.

I just don't see the third place guy (Newt) or the second place guy (Santorum) emerging out of a brokered convention. In fact, given the dominance of the GOP-e in the delegate selection process, we could very well end up with a RINO to the left of Romney.

Good Lord. So, the same would be true of Obama 4 years ago who couldn’t claim the win until June and lost a bunch of critical states like Pennsylvania by huge margins. Of all people, McCain should know how this works. The man who made us pine for Bob Dole’s campaign.

Um, the post isn’t exactly about McCain... you should really read the whole thing.

It's a pity, then, the author chose to use McCain to give the article weight.

McCain is so toxic, any connection with him repels most sensible FReepers. I would never have anything to do with an endeavor he's touched. If I can across a frozen pond and McCain was trying to rescue a puppy, I'd walk away.

The cancer of Obama”care” now extends to choosing a “Public health expert for the World Bank Presidency.”
_______

The major problem with THE NINE SUPREMES is that they are chosen for political reasons by the POTUS, and then they vote as an un-accountable democracy, for a Nation that is NOT a Democracy, but a REPUBLIC.

As a result, THE NINE SUPREMES commonly vote 5 to 4 on most issues. Constitutionality is seldom a consideration, and their up-coming ruling on Obama”care” will prove my point.

Now is the time to stand and deliver to address our grievances to the dictates of the Left.

Oppose the dictates of Dictator Baby-Doc Barack!

Our ONLY chance to ABOLISH Obama”care” rests with THE NINE SUPREMES, because Romney will be defeated by Obama.

IMHO, if Romney is anointed as the RNC Nominee, THE main issue in the National Election, Obama”care,” will be taken off the campaign table. Hence, Romney will not only lose, but suffer another crushing, and sadly typical, RINO defeat.

To those who want poster ideas, here are a few ideas for demonstration posters:

Obama”care” was robo-signed by Congress, and is therefore illegal.

Obama”care” was 2700 pages long, and is still being written, but not by Congress: witness the forced contraception coverage recently added by HHS Regulators.

Obama”care” has caused “The Catholic Spring.”

Obama”care” reduces competition, and therefore is illegal by the 1890 Sherman Anti-Trust Law.

Obama”care” is designed to be a US Federal Government monopoly, with no competition.

Obama”care” also is illegal according to the US Constitution, because it violates our freedom of choice.

Will THE NINE SUPREMES notice any of these three violations? I seriously doubt it.

Impeached Bill Clinton proved that the US President is above US Federal Law, so anything that the President wants he gets, regardless of the Federal Laws that he has violated.

Just because I held my nose and voted for McCain three and a half years ago doesn't mean I respect anything he has to say today.

That said™, a RINO candidate obviously isn't going to do any better in 2012 than the RINO candidate did in 2008.

I agree with McCain that we need a brokered convention, but he’s probably thinking Christie or Jeb. I’m not!
