Picture Jeff Foxworthy, in 2008, campaigning for John McCain and saying: "Is America ready for a black man in the White House? I don't think so!"

1) Foxworthy would never make such a "joke".
2) McCain (weak, spineless McCain) would have immediately disavowed the statement.
3) The media would have imploded with outrage.

DeNiro? "Is America ready for a white first lady?"
[shrug] He's just making a joke, right?

When we accept the double standard, we tell the world that we have no intention of fighting for what we believe in.

I have a better question for Ann. How does embarrassing a gay dude add up to potentially 10 years in prison? Or just ask that Indian kid in New Jersey.
