Tebow broke an unwritten NFL rule: It's okay to be a Christian, as long as you keep it in the closet.

Seems to me Tebow might be a good fit in Miami. This might easily end up being the best thing that could have happened. I’m not sure how it gives the haters any reason to crow.

If I were Manning, I’d be carefull to stay off the field during thunder storms.

“If Broncos management reaps what it has sown, the team will return to worst from first in its division.”

I’ll be looking forward to it.

I admire Tebow but this move has nothing to do with his outspoken Christianity. It’s not personal, it’s business

It was a business decision and absolutely NOTHING to do with religion. However, I guess blaming religion is dramatic and will allow people to yell and scream for a day or two. First of all, Tebow STILL does not have a Superbowl. Manning has at least a couple. Who would you take if you were an employer? A guy who has run his own business successfully for 15 years or a guy who just graduated from college? Every decision is about money!!!!

I like Tebow and what he stands for, but he won’t be the Broncos QB, not because of his religion, but because he was absolutely terrible 90% of the time. Plus, Manning may be the greatest QB ever....certainly top 10. Anyone in need of a QB would want him if he’s near 100%...and the Broncos really need a QB.

I don’t think Tebow’s religion had anything to do with this. It’s Peyton Manning we’re talking about, not Curtis Painter.

Who knows what the motives were for getting rid of Tebow.

Certainly no one here knows for sure.

Personally, I'm hoping Oakland picks him up;)

" If Broncos management reaps what it has sown, the team will return to worst from first in its division. "

But Tebow isn't Jesus.

If Tebow was laying down a prayer rug every game he’d be the hottest property in the NFL.

Love Peyton and Love Timmy...
but starting to hate Broncos to take on an iffy though proven QB by bumping a scrambler who, while not pretty on the field, got the team to the play-offs and refused to take any credit for it...
Yeah, it’s business but business without some sentiment is cold-blooded...
tell the fans to keep sentiment out of it and see what you get....

Funny thing... Tebow’s getting more press over this than Manning is. Lots of people will turn on the tube this fall to watch Tebow, wherever he goes. I wonder how many will do the same for Manning?

This is the problem with the “persecuted” section of Christianity, they think everything bad that happens to everybody who wears a cross happens because of the cross. Meanwhile back in reality any team would chuck aside a QB with a completion percentage under 50 for Peyton Manning. Yeah Peyton is old and we can’t be sure about that neck, but he’s still Peyton Manning who has rewritten half the QB record book. And yeah Tebow is a nice guy and a team leader, but he’s still got a completion percentage that Rex Grossman could make fun of. There’s tons of wide open Christians in the NFL keeping their jobs because their good at them, Tebow is getting traded away because he isn’t good at it.

Maybe I’m taking this way out on a limb with this analogy but Tebow’s treatment is reminding me some of the Bibilical figure of Joseph who was unfairly dishonored but eventually winded up with highest honor among men. Anyway— here’s wishing the best for classy Tebow wherever his next endeavors wind up.

That's BS. There's plenty of open Christians past and present in the NFL. This persecution complex that SOME Tebow defenders get is annoying. Tebow is not the first Christian, or first Christian QB in the NFL.

If you compare the records of Peyton Manning and Tim Tebow, there's no comparison. One's a future Hall of Famer with a Super Bowl Ring and is a coach on the field. One's an unorthodox second year player with some potential and leadership qualities. Both players are well known as good people.

Tebow may someday be a good starting QB someday, but don't turn him into Kurt Warner.

I don’t think this is a Christian based decision. However, Manning is a bit long in the tooth to continue playing good ball and will probably sit the bench too much to have been worth the hassle.

It's really about football. Denver wants/needs a passing quarterback like Elway was. Manning gives them that. I suspect Tebow will do better in the long run with a that wants to use his talents instead of feeling they must change the way they want to play to use Tebow.

Manning was a great QB.
Should have retired and will not want to watch any game he is in.
Does ANYONE think that the NFL is going to allow Manning to get seriously injured on the field? There will be so many phantom roughing the QB calls that he might as well be wearing a flag at the hip!
On the other hand does ANYONE think that opposing players are not going to try and take him out?
Going to be a circus instead of a football game.
