Did Santorum beat Gingrich in Mississippi due to Democrat Prank Voting? Alabama?

GOP being Punk’d?

We know that Democrats are crossing over in open primaries, such as Mississippi and Alabama, in order to vote for Rick Santorum, a big union candidate, their votes intended to throw the Republican National Convention into a contested balloting process.

This tactic was written up at the Daily Kos. Big union money has even invested for the Santorum campaign.

Pardon me for not having all the pertinent facts and I confess I don’t even have time to search for them all, today, to say nothing of presenting and formatting them, here. Can you help? Place further information into comments?

Santorum in Jackson, Mississippi, photo: Rogelio V. Solis, AP If memory serves me correctly, CNN’s John King last evening pointed out there according to their exit polling, about six to eight percent of Alabama voters called themselves Democrats. However, I did not find breakdown by party at the exit poll pages in cnn.com. That seems odd in itself, eh?

And if that many Democrats were willing to tell exit pollsters what they did, how many more just walked by them, refusing to be polled? If you were a prankster-voting in such a case, would you want to be examined by a pollster? Maybe some would. Maybe more would not.

CNN’s exit polls (for Mississippi and for Alabama) and the actual vote counts may be found at their site (and perhaps others have published exit polls, please tell me if you find any). Santorum’s final edge over Gingrich was approximately two percent in Mississippi and six percent in Alabama. Theoretically, both of these tallies could be within the margin of pranking.

to 8% of Santorum's votes were Obama Democrats.....Believe it.

Plausible and enough to tilt the election to ricky.

Go to CNN. The facts from the exit polling is there. And you can scoff all day if it makes you feel good, but it is a forgone fact that the Democrats have tampered with our primary. Like it or not.

They will throw TX to Santorum too, just wait and see. We have an open primary here.

The dude Doug Schoen keeps talking about the Americans Elect party on FOX.

http://www.americanselect.org/

Him and Pat Cadell were the guys who wrote an article last year saying Obama should step aside and let Hillary run this year.

I think they’re true centrists and some of their suggested candidates look like they could be Naders as much as Perots. The mix of options is pretty eclectic.

Nonsense. Gingrich has a constituency: anyone who cares enough to understand the issues and wants real solutions instead of mere pandering. The only question is whether there are enough of those people to win. Apathy and ignorance seem to be a growing trend.

It’s a fact that in Michigan, 1 in every 10 voters were Democrat crossovers.

Newt is weak. He is weak because he has a name recognition that isn’t positive. All his own fault, by the way.

Organized by Democrat strategist Joe DiSano and liberal talk radio host Tony Trupiano. I watched the local news. They interviewed Democrats after they voted. All voted Santorum. Not one Santorum supporter.

Newt is a poor conservative standard bearer. But...people have to make excuses.

Those excuses haven’t changed a thing.

AS I have never been one of the Freepers too effing stupid to understand that Democrat crossovers are backing Romney with every fiber of their being, I think I will give that notion the ridicule it properly merits, and ridicule every idiot who puts it forth as well.

Thank you for making me smile.

Alabama Party ID GOP Santorum 34, Gingrich 32, Romney 30
IND Santorum 33, Romney 27, Gingrich 25

He won without the 6% Democrats that crossed over and were not reported in the exit polls.

Miss GOP Santorum 34, Gingrich 32, Romney 31
IND Santorum 29, Romney 28, Gingrich 25

Again, the 4% Democrats that crossed over were not in the exit polls.

Winning these groups put him over the top. I suppose the Dims could have contributed to the margin of victory. A place where the numbers show best is that he won or tied in most conservative categories and won most of those who view the TEA Party as neutral or better.

Then why are the liberal organizations like the Daily Kos, Huffington Post, and Democrat Strategists been getting out the Dem vote for Santorum? This is a FACT.

They voted for Santorum in Michigan and Ohio to stop Romney.

Santorum was only polling at 24% going into the election yesterday. I would be interested to see the final data on how many registered Dems crossed over, but I’ll bet that figure was at least 10% and they had their strategically picked candidate, Santorum.

Don’t misunderstand where I’m coming from. I would vote for Rick if he were the nominee, but this vote yesterday by crossover Dems is an indication that they think Rick is weak.

We had other things to vote on besides president here in Shelby County, on both sides.

Why on earth do we still have open primaries?
Because we are stupid and our leadership is evil.

“My question is do you have any numbers to support your suggestion?”
********************************************************
Do you mean this “suggestion”: “And, by the way PSYCHO, some of the Rats coming over to vote may be voting for Romney or some may be true conservatives (AKA Reagan Democrats).”?

I guess you missed the words “...may be...” in that sentence? I’m not going to pick some imaginary “numbers” or percentages out of thin air or out of my posterior like any number of posters in this thread have done. The bull-Scheiß here is already waist deep so I don’t want to add to that.

With last night’s results I see more of the “inevitability” of Romney’s nomination evaporating away and, to me, that’s a GOOD THING. Others here apparently are experiencing it as a DERANGEMENT THING—which is mystifying to me.

It would take a Newt/Palin team to get this mess straightened out. They have fought the establishment GOP their entire political careers.

Newt has a strategy in mind, and I have no doubt Sarah is ready to Go Rogue. I think the DNC fears this, too. That is why Obama is still smearing Sarah, even making an ad against her that came out this week. Something is afoot.

Then it is patently obvious that the majority of independents are more or less brain-dead.

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to understand that there is only one of the four candidates that can take O’Mugabee to the proverbial woodshed as well as put the brakes on and correct the death spiral in which our country is currently headed.

So simple... a caveman can do it.

I live in a southeastern state Santorum won. I saw Santorum yard signs before the primary and see more of them now. I have yet too see even one Newt sign though. As a matter of fact I’ve even seen Ron Paul signs. If Newt wanted POTUS Newt should have worked for regaining public trust. Holding an office again before running for POTUS would have went very, very, far in helping him win this election. He didn’t and people did not vote for a man who resigned a high ranking office under pressures of scandal it’s just that simple. His own actions such as helping Queen Nancy on GoreBull Warming damaged him further.

Romney did suffer a huge setback, and that is great.

I did see the words “may be”, and that is why I referred to what you said as a “suggestion”.
