"Split" the convention - DON'T Split the Vote in the South! Romney is counting on it.

as a Santorum supporter I believe that Santorum voters in Alabama should vote for Newt Gingrich as Santorum will not likely win in either of those states.

I do not believe that we can afford to vote for Santorum in those southern states right now because if conservatives SPLIT that southern vote, we are in serious danger of giving Romney a victory there, which would encourage the media to push Romney even harder.

Also, Newt supporters should DEFINITELY vote for Santorum in Illinois. Santorum can win that state which Romney was counting on. Newt is polling around 10% in Illinois. A chunk of his intelligent supporters will realize that the only way either of the two conservatives have a chance of denying Romney of a win is for us to vote strategically and take Romney out.

Of course both conservatives have obstinate supporters who are prone to the type of infatuation that characterizes Romney supporters - but the majority of the Santorum & Newt supporters know that job one is to stop Romney from getting the nomination.

So the small percentage who would rather cut off their noses to spite their faces can vote for the candidates in each state who have no chance whatsoever - but we still can make sure that Romney does not compete in AL & MS and we can still deliver a blow to Romney in Illinois by working together to give Santorum the 4-5% he needs in Illinois.

Those who act like either conservative candidate warrants the impenetrable devotion to the degree that they are willing to play the game that Romney is CELEBRATING - are not really earnest about their so-called conservatism. To those it is akin to the passion sports fans contrive when they root for their own cities sports franchise and convince themselves that their opponent city is intrinsically evil.

In the case of rick and Newt, if you examine the totality of their decades in service, they are about equal in their records and both have had compromises that they would like to take back. To play the role of "purist" and act as though to switch from one to the other in order to actually defeat Romney would - to act as though that would be some kind of "defilement" - is to prove hopelessly deluded or pretentious at best.

Next week will tell which of us are pretenders who actually relish a permanent role as victims of the establishment - and how many of us actually want to be part of the solution by using our God given sense and capacity to utilize basic Math.

Obamacare & Romney care both put government in charge of healthcare. Obamacare & Romneycare care both criminalize citizens for not purchasing an insurance product. Romney publicly advised Obama to legislate a federal mandate – in writing.

Given that Obamacare is the single greatest issue Republicans have with which to defeat Barack Obama in November, one might be troubled by the thought that Romney would be a hypocrite to even challenge Obama on the issue in a debate.

But don’t worry friends, because Mitt Romney has ONE key difference to offer which he articulated in the Arizona debate.

Without further ado, I offer you a lucid explanation: The ONE difference between Romneycare & Omamacare (video linked above)

newt supporters in ILL should stand down. Cease and desist.

- c_Pete, who campaigned for Newt in NH in an attempt to slow down ROMNEY, not as a means of starting a long death march around the country.

We can start “brokering” our votes between conservatives. 1 for 1 between Alabama and Illinois.

Excellent "strategery" - I have to hand it to you. When you really like a candidate, it's difficult to do what might help him most.

As a Gingrich/West 1st or Santorum 2nd, supporter; please know I would do the same for you/America too, though.

I’m in IL and I’ll vote for Santorum. I’ve always said I’ll vote for the most conservative candidate that has the best chance of winning, so I’m not even going against my own word. As much as I like Newt’s ideas, this analysis makes sense.

The Romney gameplan is to get 1144 delegates by convention time. Everyone else’s gameplan should be to prevent that from happening. Then we live to fight another day.

That makes absolutely NO SENSE whatsoever. Please impart your wisdom to us all, those with the perspicacity to understand, as to how my advocating us NOT giving Romney what he wants, a SPLIT conservative vote in the south would actually help Romney. I can’t wait to hear this one.

Than you. As a southern Santorum supporter, I did the same thing I’m suggesting. I voted for Newt instead of the conservative I preferred. (Rick)

You are a Santorum supporter, but you are duping people into voting for Gingrich? If you were a Santorum supporter, why wouldn’t you support Santorum in a state where he is neck and neck. Just come out and say you support Gingrich.

I think you need to relax

I like Newt but I went with Santorum in Kansas -— we should not be rebuked for discussing strategy

Here I am asking NEWT supporters to vote for Santorum in Michigan. We came close

Conservatives Unite in STRATEGIC VOTING
http://youtu.be/1anhKS9_b_U

Here’s another of my videos asking NEWT supporters to vote for Santorum. It’s titled:

“Newt wants YOU to vote for Santorum in Michigan & AZ (Opinion)”
http://youtu.be/OItvkY_1sMk

These are time-stamped by youtube - before the primaries.

Subsequently, many Newt supporters in MI told me when I posted these vids here - that they would vote for Santorum.

We got almost half the delegates. We had half until the establishment changed the rules afterward and took two.

If you really want Gingrich and you voted for Santorum, I really have to question your intelligence. You get a chance to vote. You're outsmarting yourself. And if Gingrich is your #1, you probably should have voted for Romney. #2

I don't think Santorum is that great a candidate, but he's just barely acceptable, and better than the other MegaRINOs. I can be pretty sure that Romney wants anyone who isn't vote for him (and maybe Paul) in Alabama, he wants them to vote for Gingrich. All this "strategy" stuff is too clever by half. The man who started all this stuff, Rush Limbaugh, just got finished saving Obama's bacon, but distracting the public from the religious freedom issue. Now all the momentum against Obama on that issue has been blunted.

Why in the world would Rick voters vote for Newt in AL? It is a statistical dead heat on Rasmussen and PPP between Rick Newt and Milt. MS is also on the close side. Rick is only 5 down from Newt. This is not like other states where Newt was at 10-15% with no shot at anything.

I work during the day so i don’t listen to Rush but I do remember him playing Obama and Hillary games. I don’t believe he is doing this with Newt and Rick.

Conservatives -not- uniting is what gave us McCain and Dole. With just 2 conservatives in the race versus a handful who stayed in in 2008, it is much more manageable now.
