Ah. Yes. Well. The first 90 or so on the list are grandfathered in. They earned their spurs by being on the first thread...
More important, if someone actually didn’t wish to be on your highly esteemed Ping List, how would you want for them to apprise you of said wish?
The threat requirement to get on is something of a joke based on stuck_in_new_orleans' over-the-top demand to be dropped here and the way a few members 'ran with it' afterwards.
I'm afraid he/she got quite a bit of flack for it (not my intent and I'm sorry it happened), and I did promptly drop him/her as requested.
Still, any excuse to bring a little levity to a potentially deadly serious subject.
Just FYI, about 90 people were in the original list, two have asked to be removed and a dozen or so to be added.
Make that three have asked to be removed...
I think the other members of the ping list should approve any requests to be removed from the Nut-job Conspiracy Theory Ping! list. We’re all in this together.
Same for anyone wishing to join. Like Yogi Berra says “No one goes there, anymore, it’s too crowded”. We can’t have a ping list that’s too crowded — need a little exclusivity.
Nahhhh, if everybody knows who joins, it isn’t a conspiracy!
