In addition to external threats both near and global, we are today squarely facing an internal blending of Marxism and Chicago criminal tactics; both forces known for obtaining results in the near and middle terms. At the same time, it appears “our” counterbalancing political force is compromised.
Even if we regain both chambers and the WH, will our forces clean house and reach in and reverse the infection? In this regard, one can reflect on how long our State Dept has been under the liberal influence, all to our nation’s deteriment? (IMO: at least since the 1930’s.)
Who among us, optimists included, can be confident of a good outcome with the political gameplan we have been using for the past 80 years? Will “we” continue to fail to recognize this enemy as well.
Very well stated, and I am not optimistic at all.
But I come from a long line of fighters, and sometimes Lost Causes are the very most worth fighting for.
