LOS ANGELES, CA (February 29, 2012) Lifetime has picked up Bristol Palin: Lifes a Tripp, an all-new docuseries that will provide an exclusive, rare glimpse into Bristol Palins real life as a young, single mother forging her own way in the world while living under the constant spotlight as a member of one of Americas most high-profile families.
With never-before-granted access to Bristols real-life experiences growing into womanhood, Bristol Palin: Lifes a Tripp will reveal how she adjusts to her life in Alaska, where daily she faces the many pressures of raising her toddler son Tripp alone and maintains the close relationship she holds with her parents, former Alaska Governor and Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin and Todd, and siblings. Steadfastly moving forward both personally and professionally, Bristol will be confronted by the many difficult life decisions people must make regarding Parenthood, family, relationships and career giving viewers a unique look at how these true-to-life challenges test her resolve as she single-handedly writes the next chapter in her and Tripps young life.
From the first moment she was thrust into the public eye, Bristol and her son have been the subjects of a huge amount of curiosity and misunderstanding. This show will reveal the real Bristol Palin and her journey as a daughter, a mother and a young woman making her way in the world, said Rob Sharenow, Executive Vice President, Programming, of Lifetime Networks.
Lifetime has ordered 10 half-hour episodes of the program to air this year. Bristol Palin: Lifes a Tripp will be produced by Associated Television International, with David McKenzie, Jim Romanovich and David Martin executive producing with Lifetimes Sharenow, Gena McCarthy and Noah Pollack. Robyn Schnieders will co-executive produce.
The former first daughter of Alaska, Palin has become one of the countrys most high-profile teen mothers after the 2008 birth of Tripp. She has since dedicated her life to being a leading advocate for the prevention of teen pregnancy, working with such organizations as the Candies Foundation to educate people about the issue. In 2010, Palin appeared on ABCs hit reality competition series Dancing with the Stars, on which she placed in third. Most recently, she published her New York Times best-selling book, Not Afraid of Life: My Journey So Far, which candidly chronicles her public and personal life.

Good grief!!!!
Who cares!!!!
Her book couldn’t even sell. The sales were even lower than that of Ms. Fatty McCain’s. Last I read, Fatty’s book had only sold a little over 2,500 copies. Bristol’s book had only sold about half that.
It’s getting to be that the most dangerous place in America is between Bristol Palin & a TV camera.
She is under the illusion that she is ‘living under the constant spotlight’ because she believes it. My brain hurts too from the cashing in that this family continues to make. Bristol is the apple that didnt fall far from the tree. Big damn deal, another kid having a kid out of wedlock and because her last name is Palin, she is famous. Good grief, who cares is RIGHT!
Point us to your book and its sales figures....
Seems she might consider reflecting on her mistakes and pursuing a good Dad for her son.
How about seeking the constant spotlight. There are plenty of former child actors who fled the scene as adults and now enjoy life in quiet obscurity.
Another palin-brand money grab....good for her but call it what it is.
First of all, she never wrote the book. She is not capable of writing a book. Someone else wrote it for her. Who that someone else is, the name never came to the fore other than it was written for her.
Whatta ya live under a rock?
Her co-author was Nancy French. It’s right on the cover of the book. Ever hear of Google?
I wanted to add to what you just wrote, but I cant because you covered it all.
Our societys ethics are so screwed up.
This Bristol, with a child out of wedlock and has no education and dumber than a bag of rocks, is held up for a younger generation to aspire to. I honestly dont understand this sick crap.
Words just dont come to me. There is so much more I would like to say, but cant.
Yes, that has been read many times.
The problem is she has no credibility.
/yawn
LOL, more Palin family realityTV! This kind of stuff just further erodes any chance that Sarah will ever again be taken seriously as an actual political candidate (rather than a pundit/commentator).
But you missed my point. I said that in my view she shouldn't now go for the national spotlight because of her fame which was based on a large error in judgment. Rather, it might be better for her to hunker down and find a father for her son or else find a career other than one in ShowBiz. Now, that's only if she wants to earn respect.
But the press fawning over Michelle Obama’s arms, fashion wear, obesity campaign and all that helps Mr. Obama, right?
I wasn’t interested enough to research it. Just knowing she didn’t write it was enough for me. She doesn’t have the brains or education to do so.
Now you know she did not write it.
It’s like flypaper.
Too many TV channels and too little to actually broadcast = $%*t that nobody wants to watch
Many very accomplished individuals have used a co-author or ghost writer, as I’m sure you’re aware. Do you know Miss Bristol Palin? Who are you to judge her intelligence or talent at writing? My Lord, that woman and her family sure do get you haters in a froth. You don’t know how much it amuses me...
Then Palin campaigned for this crook who legally could also not be president of the U.S.
He is dual national as I am too...American and Panamanian.
He was born in Colon Hospital, Colon, Republic of Panama. McCain, the liar that he always is, lied in his book.
Palin had to have known about this.
