In the aftermath of Drudges shameful headline story yesterday, Rush decided to take a dig at Drudge using his new headline about $6 gas prices:

drudge is a flaming queen....
“Santorum praised the Catholic Bishop Samuel Aquila for pledging to deny communion to politicians who support abortion rights and said the matter went beyond politics and was a symptom of Satan’s reach in U.S. society.”
What’s wrong with THAT???
If you are a Christian and don’t recognize the existance of Satan and his effect on the world, you are in the wrong religion.
Its refreshing to hear a politican who is not ashamed of his Judaeo-Christian background and who doesn’t pander to Maniac Muslims.
I am getting the impression that Drudge has severely damaged his brand by going in the tank for Milt so blatantly. His bread and butter customers are Conservatives who can see through this BS. Now you have Rush and other Right Wing people mocking him. I don’t think he is going to have another record year in ‘12.
Rush can’t hit Drudge too hard since he wouldn’t have a show if the Drudge Report went away.. that’s almost entirely his source of daily material and usually in the same order
I’m already starting to develop the habit of bypassing Drudge, just like I did the Daily Dish (Andrew Sullivan) over 5 years ago, and more recently Romney cheerleader Hugh Hewitt.
“Drudge has this plastered up. The Democrats have found it. It’s all over the place. Think Progress and whatever leftist think tanks have dug this up, and it’s part of the predictable attempt to impugn Santorum as an absolute religious nut and wacko.”
*****************
By playing the excerpts in question, and in giving his commentary, any of you Rick supporters think Rush is defending/helping Rick here????
I don’t— just like he hasn’t defended/helped Newt.
Note that Rush lays the blame specifically— “The Democrats have found it. It’s all over the place. Think Progress and whatever leftist think tanks have dug this up.”
Yeh, well I think Romney and the GOP-E dug this up- and in that I believe Rush supports Romney- I’m not surprised that Rush is harping on “satan” today, while not criticizing Alan Simpson, the GOP-E and Romney as the one’s who are pushing the smear.
It’s all about Truth in Advertising.
We have a First Amendment in this country where every man and woman is free to believe or not believe what they wish.
If you do not agree with the teachings of the Catholic Church, that’s cool. Just don’t try and represent yourself as a Catholic. Or your organization as being Catholic.
I still like Drudge Report. I click on it at least twice a day.
When push comes to shove, these people eventually out themselves as not the Conservative pundits they claimed they were. They are actually lock step with the establishment Rove types or in Sullivan’s case, a straight up liar.
?????
I believe in the First Amendment and I believe people have a right to believe or not believe what they want personally.
But I KNOW that America is a nation based on Judaeo-Christian values. The kind of society the Founding Fathers established requires that its citizens - most of them - share those values. If they don’t - it won’t work.
All the basic human “rights” we enjoy had to come from somewhere. The French and British will tell you those rights come from the State and as such can be removed by the State. In many oher governments, its not an issue. Citizens HAVE no roghts there. Here in America, the Founding Fathers believed everyone has those rights as a birthight from GOD.
And THAT was the main difference between our revolution and so many others.
And so, I applaude Santorum’s pride in expressing his Judaeo-Christian Values as they are the values which made America Great.
And Secular Humanistic Atheism represents the “values” which are destroying it.
People don't like the truth but many churches have become nothing but liberal propaganda outlets.
RC Sproul said recently that it may be time to stop protesting abortion clinics and start protesting churches that support abortion.
Clearly, Santorum is wrong, Satan, the deceiver that he is, has no hand in this: http://www.catholic.org/national/national_story.php?id=32962
Bravo! Well stated!
I can’t got to DrudgeReport any more.
I never cared about Matt Drudge’s personal life one way or the other. But I began to notice a pattern. There would be several negative headlines about Newt or Rick and nothing about Romney. Then, while Newt was making good showings in debates, Drudge began hammering away at Newt. It didn’t make sense to me. It went on for days at a time. Then I learned the word on the street was that Romney’s man Matt Rhoades and Drudge were butt-buddies. And there you have it. That’s Drudge’s angle: help his man’s man. Never post openly good articles about Romney but always post damaging articles about Newt and Rick.
Whatever, Drudge. I can see you now.
