Prosecutors found prima facie evidence of sexual assault, but said the alleged attack – which happened in 2003 - was too old to pursue.
Now Strauss-Kahn is at the centre of an entirely separate investigation into the prostitution ring

French politicians are usually allowed to get away with unlimited sex. That’s just what the French do. Of course, attention was called to Strauss-Kahn by his arrest in New York, but I think most French concluded that that was just a ploy to change bosses at the IMF—replacing him with a Frenchwoman who actually grew up in Chicago and presumably has connections there.

I wonder what brings this on? Maybe Sarkozy is hoping it will help him in the coming elections?
