Judge Andrew Napolitano, host of Fox's Freedom Watch was unceremoniously dumped from the network this week. Napolitano says in a Facebook posting that it was nothing out of the ordinary and to please not email Fox demanding his reinstatement. According to the Judge, these things happen all the time and are ratings inspired. Watch the two videos linked here and let us know if you think his termination was purely economic.
The fact is, Judge Napolitano was calling out the powers that be. He casting light on the fact that the political parties only have their well-being at heart, not yours. That the system is completely broken and that the government is out of control and a threat to us all. He highlighted the futility of the candidates this electoral go-round and pointed to Ron Paul as being authentic, honest, consistent and all too often right. If these acts and words earned the Judge a discharge, then it was a well earned one indeed.
We wish the Judge and his family the best and pray for his well being.
I’m all in favor of provoking the system.
Fox is losing its appeal. And if I see another blonde in a magenta dress looking like a cocktail waitress, I am going to throw up.
Start with Ron Paul and work your way to Stossel. Go to their web site and read what they are for. Legalizing drugs is right up there. If it were legal, don't you think many would plant and harvest everything from weed to opium for free? Are you dumb enough to believe we will "tax" it and make some money? I've heard that all my life. All over the US they are growing it in the woods. in planters, and in basements all for free. It's just illegal. I'm sure what killed Whitney Houston was all just fine for a libertarian. It's her body after all.
I've seen the pain and death that comes with drugs and it cannot be controlled by the average person. I'm 60 and have had friends make the same old argument about pot and are dead now after a life of misery and losing custody of their kids, car wrecks, burned down homes, lung cancer, you name it. They are all just whacked out morons that can't stop taking dope. Each one makes the excuse, it's just a little weed, right before they lose another part of their lives. Libertarians just say that they should have the right to do whatever they want. Tell that to the kids and parents of these wacko's.
Oh, and PS, I've heard all the alcohol arguments too. Just drive down the nearest highway and count the crosses. All those people had rights too.
The Constitution is there to make sure somebody else's concerns about country don't empower then to assume control of your concerns about god and family.
Looking at what's going on in Washington, we could do with some more of that.
The Judge was the most ardent supporter of the Constitution on the tube. With him gone, that leaves none.
As to his the Judge’s support for Ron Paul. Well, that would be because Ron Paul is the most ardent supporter of our Constitution in congress. Since while Ron Paul’s foreign policy might be considered looney, especially under the current circumstances, his positions have a Constitutional base. ie, only congress has the power to declare war.
Some folks like to throw out parts of the Bible they don’t like, or perhaps disagree. Then some folks will throw out parts of the Constitution, which doesn’t seem to fit the current circumstances. Then some folks tend to support the Bible in whole. And, some folks tend to support the Constitution in whole.
While we can’t amend the Bible, we can amend the Constitution. But the latter has not yet been done. Only congress has the power, with the support of the people, to declare war.
If the US is going to go to war against Iran, then it should do so with the consent of the people, and a Congressional declaration of war against Iran. Then eliminate this threat, for centuries to come.
Anything less may begin decades of war, with no final resolution.
Prohibitions really work out well. Were you in favor of the war on alcohol? How the DC/Chicago prohibition on guns. It really comes down to who owns your body. You or the state? When government prohibits behavior that its core is not criminal, all sorts of unintended consequences come about. Like drug gangs, strung out junkies, etc. Seems to me that by advocating prohibition, knowing the harm it will cause, you are creating the next Al Capone or Pablo Escobar.
legal does not equal free, that’s how dumb I am.
