The Republican establishment is having a bad week. It’s darling Mitt “Arnold Schwarzenegger/Nelson Rockefeller” Romney, whose main virtue has been said to be his electability, stumbled big time by losing all three contests this week to Rick Santorum, he of no organization and less money.

Now comes this quite troubling news out of Ohio, at least if you’re from the Mitt-Arnold-Nelson wing of the party: Head to head against President Barack Obama, Romney comes in second, 45 percent to 41 percent, according to Rasmussen Reports. . .

I good to go with Newt or Rick, but still believe it will be Mitt, if the two of them hang in there until the end. One or the other will have to take one for the country.

I heard Santorum on Rush yesterday and he’s sounds like the real deal for a change. And a Rassmussen poll out of Ohio has Romney losing to Obama and Santorum tied with The Great Pretender. I don’t thin that Romney can win because he’s just another RINO.

I agree. Romney's already peaked and his truer numbers are showing.

Ohio being one of the most representative swing states, the Santorum number is very impressive, especially given that there’s still a whole campaign to go.

If Rick has no skeletons, you can be sure Obomney will invent some.

The only problem I have with Santorum is he is such a bore. He has receive little attention in the debates to this point except when losing his cool in the first few. His victory and concession speeches have not been well delivered, and the same could be said for his stump speeches and TV appearances. Maybe he will gel in the coming weeks and catch fire, but unless he does I think his time on top of the wave will be short lived.
Romney losing a few states to Santorum does not mean much. McCain lost 16 States.
