We are all flawed in some respects. But narcissism has gone viral like a plague and there seems to be no treatment for adult sufferers. I think public education is the common vehicle used to program minds to disregard reality. I sure remember what my children acted like at two years of age... total and complete narcissists. Finally they grew up. But our society has so deteriorated, that every where I turn, young and old, like who they are, and really could care less about what is going on around them. Anybody but Obama really misses the depth of our hurt.
Good statement - Guess it had to be said twice...heh.
Oh, spare us the sophomoric sour grapes.
This is a presidential contest. Candidates are going to be vetted. Not everything in their past records is going to pass the smell test.
If you like a candidate well enough to join their camp, you had better be prepared to discuss and defend their record like an adult, if you want to have profitable conversations.
I showed you the dark side of Rick Santorum's Senate voting record, which are FACTS. Instead of presenting a litany of his pro-conservative credentials and accomplishments, all you've done is complain and whine that I'm being a big ole meany to little Ricky.
If that's the best defense you can muster, then you should probably refrain from engaging in discussions concerning his actual RECORD, and leave the heavy lifting to others.
My apology. My computer froze on the page to post, I hit the back key thinking it did not get received and then hit the to post key and went to bed.
I highly recommend you do your own homework and realize that 'presidential' candidates will be the last to acknowledge their short comings.... and some will lie with pride regarding their records. And some will even claim they are sent from God while refusing to follow his commandments, bearing false witness ranks right up there with adultery, murder, stealing, covetousness... etc.
Thank you again for the links. Having read them I think I must have misunderstood your post:
“Actually understand - was sticking for Newt until last week. I guess his negatives just finally overcame my aversion to someone else. I know Santorum is not the best Conservative but in this field, it seems the he is the one with the least changes in Conservative philosophy.”
“I do think that your current support of Newt is understandable though. I guess it will be to the support of many others that will decide the outcome.”
I read it last night as if you were speaking of Newt’s negatives, but your response seems to indicate you are speaking of Santorum’s. Sorry for the mix up.
As for the housing market failure, I agree Fannie and Freddie are very culpable, and the whole redlining issue you alude to causing it is acurate. But I think there is more to the crisis than that. And I think Bush et al did well in countering a very real financial attack.
Sorry for the late response, but almost have given up on the people to change the outcome.
Actually, I have no favorites in this stupid Republican race. They all fail as far as I am concerned.
The government is throwing the peasants (all those except their elite), into their own bucket-list.
I can only watch at the ignorance of our wonderful electorate and wonder - what if?
When the majority of the masses gets the benefits of the working class - just for existing, we are all doomed. Voting then becomes a game of voting in the most beneficial Representative. Good luck with that...
Actually, it has been that way longer than I care to admit! Just took me a very long time to understand the rules of elections.
