Santorum kills Impeachment proceeding against Bill Clinton
The Freedomist ^ | 1-20-2012 | Collier Brothers

Posted on 02/07/2012 11:50:33 AM PST by TitansAFC

Rick Santorum tells South Carolina voters that he is the only conservative purist in the field, attacking Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney for being unreliable conservatives. Well, THE FREEDOMIST has already exposed Rick Santorum for his betrayal of a core conservative value, the right to work, the protection against Union thuggery. He is FOR right to work but NEVER votes for right to work legislation. He also endorsed Arlen Specter in his 1996 Presidential run, in 2004 against true conservative Pat Toomey, AND even endorsed Mitt Romney in his 2008 Presidential run. Well, worse than even his right to vote betrayal and his endorsements of RINOS and future democrats was the work that he did as a Senator in the Clinton years, when he and Trent Lott undermined the Senate efforts to bring Bill Clinton to trial after the House impeached him for lying under oath.

That’s right, this pure conservative, who attacks like a tiny lap dog (see Thursday’s debate for a classic example of what an attack lap dog looks like when he nips at the heels of others), was instrumental, along with Trent Lott, in stopping the Clinton Impeachmment proceeedings, in rescuing Bill Clinton from facing a fair trial of his peers. This action should not be surprising to the people who remember how aggressively Rick Santorum worked to torpedo a true conservative, Pat Toomey, in 2004, from removing a future democrat and former RINO, Arlen Specter.

Here is all the proof you need to see that Santorum, in fact, killled the impeachment proceedings against Bill Clinton, just another reflection of how Santorum is the face of Conservative Purity in Name Only (CPINO- which also sounds like the name of an exotic small wolf dop that yips and yips and yips at everyon’e ankles):....

I don’t oppse Newt because of phony ethics crap.

What I wrote and posted was only to illustrate why the elites will NOT help a conservative. It would cut their money tree down.

Newt was the very first person to run a national campaign. That's how the "R's" took the House after 40 years in the wilderness. He knows what he's doing.

the DIARY of Congressman James E. Rogan, House Manager is false?

Prove it is not. Put up or shut up. How do you like the new tone on FR?

The reference was more aptly to be applied to voting records being used as gospel on a persons true belief. All those bills that passed likely had some positive things in them that were needed.

Ron Paul regularly votes against something after he puts an earmark in a bill that he knows must pass. It is just the way the corrupt system works.

I don't place much value on opposition research posts that say way too much. Beside you could make a very similar list of all those un-conservative things Ronald Reagan signed into law. We do after all still have the Department of Education that he vowed to abolish, and I am pretty sure he signed many budgets that contained funding or even expansion of the same, right?

Oh please, the negatives for Newt and Mitt are so huge you really have to scrape the bottom to try to drag Santorum down to their level. No he’s not perfect but them neither was Reagan.

Rick, drop the halo and come out w/your ego in your hands!

Maybe if you used some of that energy on getting Romney to drop out.......Unless of course you are really a closet Romney supporter, after all, your attacks do benefit him more than they do Newt.

I am not saying that but I think putting into perspective that Toomey was not what we thought he was should be noted and perhaps softens the “endorsement” a little.

Spector turned out to be a lying snake and yet conservatives time and again held their breath 'praying' he was able to do the 'right' thing... Didn't Spector vote for Obamacare as a rightful democrat? Did Toomey vote for Obamacare??? Actions have consequences and the point is that Santorum has as many warts and flaws as anyone else in spite of what he claims to the contrary.

Think about this, had the 'moderates' in the Proud-GOP establishment held a literal Constitutional 'trial' in the Senate, produced the evidence with live witnesses Clinton would have been tossed out of office. What could have been?

There is NO lie big enough that will ever diminish the fact that Newt lead the national campaign to 'free' the peoples house with the Contract with America. Not even the 'truth' of Newts sins and dabbling will ever change. That accomplishment gave more to the American people than anything Santorum has yet to accomplish. FACT are FACTS.

As I stated, I believe correctly, you can choose to be anti Romney at that point, or anti Obama, or both. When did I say it would be pro Romney?

For my part I will be 1000% anti Obama and that includes voting against Obama.

You have once again proven you have no taste for sharp humor. That cut I made to Yaelle was brilliantly sarcastic, something you don’t like.

I get that you don’t like it. I understand not everybody likes it. That’s fine with me. I don’t like fantasy.

So do me a favor and quit feeling the need to remind me you don’t like it every time I do it.

As for me and Santorum: one huge difference: I don’t pretend to be something I’m not.

I said you convinced me with your bogus list, Rick Santorum is a far left communist.

Just wondering, are you seriously trying to tell people here that they need to do research for you because otherwise, Rick santorum is a liberal?

Educate me further, in an Obama/ Santorum matchup, who am I supposed to vote for?

I’m also a Palin supporter, as well as Cain, Perry, I suppose others. What are we supposed to do though, make them run and win?

One thing I know I am not an Obama supporter.

That Toomey was not all we thought he was is not the point. THAT SPECTER WAS EXACTLY WHO WE KNEW HE WAS is the point.

Nothing could get through your warped thinking - which is parallel to your support of him. I’m repulsed by liars - and Rick has shown himself to be one along with the own he’s working for - the known liar mitt.

There’s that dismissive tone again which wins Newt how many friends?

I am not here to win Newt friends. On this particular thread, I am here to get the truth across about what a sanctimonious fraud Santorum is. And since his only claim is that he's a true conservative - because he certainly does not have any ability or charisma - his phoniness is damned important.

If Santorum were who he claims to be, chances are I would be for him. But he's not - and I'm not.

No, I guess we may have to hold our noses again, as so many times before. Still if these other candidates can hold Willard off from a first-ballot majority,...?

Reagan was FOR America. Newt is/was FOR America.

Mitt and Rick are FOR themselves - always have been. Lying to deceive voters shows the evil within. They have no record to run on so they NEED to taint the oppositions SUCCESSES.
