The writer can't even figure out if they want to talk in the past tense or present tense, often mixing them in the same sentence.

I teach my 2nd graders how to write better than this....

You do teach them about having agreement between a singular noun and a pronoun referring to it, right?

Yep I was lazy...it was 5 am here when I wrote that and I didn't feel like looking back to see if the writer was a male or a female so I didn't use "he" or "she".

My comment was still better writing than the author of this piece....
