“Delusional!”

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You certainly are.
From that Heritage Foundation article....
Amsterdam’s experience is already being duplicated in California under the current medical marijuana statute. In Los Angeles, police report that areas surrounding cannabis clubs have experienced a 200 percent increase in robberies, a 52.2 percent increase in burglaries, a 57.1 percent increase in aggravated assault, and a 130.8 percent increase in burglaries from automobiles. Current law requires a doctor’s prescription to procure marijuana; full legalization would likely spark an even more acute increase in crime.
Full legalization would allow people to grow their own. No crime associated with that.
Do you just skim by the absence of evidence that crimes have been created rather than simply relocated?
No evidence there that crimes have been created rather than simply relocated. Do you even understand the difference?
That says nothing to the fact that crime in California is down and declining.
Sort of like the usual suspects said that when more and more States passed concealed carry permits the prediction was of Old West style shootouts and rampant gun crime.
Gun crime is down, and went down further in concealed carry States than otherwise.
So the usual suspects rounded up statistics of dubious importance to try to distract from the FACT that crime is down overall and their predictions of gloom and doom didn't pan out.
They cite that neighbors complain! They cite that people with guns are more likely to be the victims of crime, not knowing or caring that there is a self selection bias at play - those in risk of criminality tend to arm themselves.
They cite any and all numbers that they think carry water for them.
But their predictions didn't pan out.
Crime overall is down.
Why?
If it was legal, anybody can grow it. You don't need lights. Heck, just plant it. It will grow any where and anytime, except when it is too cold. I grew lots of it. I tried it once but I prefer beer. So I gave my plants away. I would grow more for friends when they would bring their seeds to me.
It got irritating though, so I planted the stuff in ditches and on the side of roads.
After the plants got a few inches high, the same size as I would grow them. Some got 8" tall, just growing with no one seeing them. They really freaked when they found the big ones. :)
