Ahhh...you've never owned a Firestar M43 9mm. That hunk of iron would beat the one-hang-per-mag ratio hands down on any day of the week.
Of course, there was a fix. Drill out the pin hole for the ejector, install the factory designed upgrade (if you can find one) and put in a heavier recoil spring. A Wolff 24 pounder would do. But chambering a round with that sucker is a chore. I'm glad I sold it and got a Rueger LC9.
That's what my brother has! I like that gun a lot. We traded off at the cinder pit one day and each shot the other's gun; he liked my 1911! We left it at that and didn't trade; but for accuracy and reliability, that Ruger of yours is a dandy!
