I will point out to you that they didn’t want to win in 2008.

The GOP wants obama re-elected. This is all a game they’re playing

You, when you post the list of lawmakers backing Romney, I can’t help but notice how many of them (around 75% or more) were also co-sponsors of this disastrous SOPA/PIPA bill to censor the internet. I think that should tell us something...

EXACTLY, They have more control over the deviants without having to accept any blame what so ever.

The anger from the base towards the GOPE is universal. The RINO establishment has played a major role in why this country is so messed up right now.

Newt scares the hell out of them, BECAUSE they know they cannot control him. Like Newt was in the ‘90’s, Lott and the bunch took Newt out any way they could, which is why they trumped the phony “ethics” charges against him.

They also tried to play nice with the Democrats during the impeachment, and Newt would not have it. So he became frustrated and quit even after he won reelection.

I don't blame him one bit. We need to help him get some serious RINO payback, right here and right now! I am certain that we will be cheering the result if we nominate him.

One wonders if there will befall some horrible American tragedy, like a total collapse, and the GOP doesn't want to be at the helm at that time, and take the blame.

Newt is going to face some hard times until super Tuesday—we must support him and not listen to the storm of charges that will be leveled at him. These are the times to try men’s souls. Lets hope he keeps up his debate successes. Look to see the leftists try to torpedo him in the next debate.

Everyone is afraid the cash cow is going to hit the pasture.

This is about money and the Tea Party is scaring the establishment to death.

They didn’t want to win in 2008?
Or
They want obama to win?

I must assume that you guys have some evidence to support your case. Perhaps some copies of double top secret internal RNC strategy memos that outline how great it will be for the party and the nation to lose election after election. So why don’t you present your case?

The fact that the Republican establishment has made some poor choices, followed bad strategy and missed hearing the voice of their constituency is testimony to a degree of misguided incompetence, not intentionality. I personally think they have acted like idiots with absurd regularity. But I am not prepared to assume that they are somehow willing accomplices to Obama’s “fundamental change.”

Statements like that, especially without a shred af evidence sound more like the tinfoil ravings of a fringe Paul supporter who gets all their information from Alex Jones.

Yep, RINO hunting season is now open. And Open Season on the Commie Dems.

The only effective way to remove the lefties from positions of power in government is to close entire Federal Departments and return anything worthwhile back to the State level. THAT would gut their power in DC.

The GOP wants obama re-elected.

Possibly a few pure RINOs do. But I doubt very seriously that a major portion actually wants that.

Are you a Libertarian?

Very good point Laz.

I have thought about that and discussed it with a few friends.

>>...You, when you post the list of lawmakers backing Romney, I can’t help but notice...<<

Not that you are painting all those congress folks with a broad-brush, but it occurs to me to wonder who elects moderate, squishy congress-critters?

I think moderate squishy voters elect moderate squishy politicians and right now, there appears to be far more moderate, squishy voters than all others combined.

We need to somehow do a better job of growing conservatives, nominating and supporting them and (most importantly) GROWING that community of conservative supporters. And I mean from electing your local dog-catcher on up to the national offices.

I know — It’s far easier said than done and I’m all out of magic-wands and pixie dust.

We often talk about the establishment GOP.

Who exactly would fall into that category? I would guess we are talking senior senators and congresscritters. Also people inside the beltway like Krauthammer...Rover...etc. BUt who EXACTLY are we talking about.

Powers that be.

The formal and informal organisation.

Many times the informal organisation is more powerful than the formal.

Well yeah... I know that. What I want is NAMES. We always say the powers that be...the establishment. But rarely do we attach names to it.

I don’t think it’s too far of a stretch to call it “institutionalized incompetence”. What I see with the RNC and the power-brokers is that they are immersed in their own little self-sustaining political eco-system that drifts ever leftward because “that’s what we did last time”. Hence, we consistently get “the next guy in line” pushed on us by the RNC.

They’ve been politically in-bred for too long and have both lost the ability to LEAD and have developed extremely narrow selective-hearing. The RNC has voluntarily boxed themselves into being reactive to whatever the dems do, instead of being pro-active and displaying leadership.

Ehhhh... Don’t get me started...
