I don’t think it’s too far of a stretch to call it “institutionalized incompetence”. What I see with the RNC and the power-brokers is that they are immersed in their own little self-sustaining political eco-system that drifts ever leftward because “that’s what we did last time”. Hence, we consistently get “the next guy in line” pushed on us by the RNC.

They’ve been politically in-bred for too long and have both lost the ability to LEAD and have developed extremely narrow selective-hearing. The RNC has voluntarily boxed themselves into being reactive to whatever the dems do, instead of being pro-active and displaying leadership.

Ehhhh... Don’t get me started...

Institutionalized incompetence is a very good description. It won’t be broken up by someone like Romney. However, someone with the fire in the belly to take them on, but who has the experience with the way things work and the knowledge to carefully pick their battles. Newt may well be that guy.
