NEWT is the only one who takes on the conservatives’ arch enemy - THE MEDIA.
GO NEWT !
LOLOL
Newt is the only candidate since Reagan who is willing and able to go after the main opponent, the media. He does it with vigor and he does it with skill, while eviscerating the Socialist with his foil.
Yes, Newt is flawed. So we are going to have to accept a man with human foibles, but accept him I have.
I'm voting for Newt.
This will only help him. And I believe the media has grossly underestimated the backlash from the public on this--the agenda is too obvious...
The only good thing is that all of this crap is happening now as opposed to September
Now, just to try to hijack this thread, I have a good friend whose wife is a psychologist (he ahd I are both lawyers; time for flames). Anyway, I once suggested to him that his wife employ a biological treatment for her depressed patients, “The Big Hug.” For the less seveely depressed patients the Hug could be administered by something as small as an eight foot rat snake. Depending on the level of depression, the treatment could ascend to Boa Constrictors and, for the truly severe cases, Reticulated Pythons. I don’t know why, but she never viewed this as a truly appropriate treatment, in spite of the fact that, at any level, it was guaranteed to refocus the patient’s attention on something more compelling than mere depression.
Santorum comes across as whiney and self righteous. He’s the kid who always had his hand up to be hall monitor.
boo hiss
Your sour attitude shows you’re obviously depressed and need a Big Hug.
Talk about bias. This sentence makes it sound as if he had an open marriage and was just objecting to it being mentioned. The left knows no shame.
Let’s see what salamander has to say about it!
Hiss. Boo.
Didn’t even bother to say “alleged” in there.
And anyhow, I thought the Liberal Media felt “open marriages” to be no big deal.
She should do it but skip the smaller snakes completely.
They’re too timid and jumpy and are not constrictors therefore unlikely to “hug” very well.
[although a nice sized Ball Python will massage a muscle spasm out of your neck or shoulders like you can’t imagine]...;D
Go straight to a nice ‘smallish’ Colombian or Red Tail Boa, preferably 4 feet or so.
Big enough for a good solid hug, small enough to not be overly dangerous to an adult person.
[Royal (aka Ball) Pythons are smaller constrictors but generally too skittish and shy...larger Pythons such as Burms or Rocks are too aggressive...avoid those for this purpose]
*Every* time I take my snakes out and sit down with them, it’s almost hypnotic.
I don’t know if it’s because I’m gently and slowly stroking them, or they’re slowly expanding and contracting their hold on me, sort of like slow motion massage or even if it’s just watching their graceful, fluid movements but I doze off and have to keep jerking myself back awake....:)
[hubby says they’re “voodooing me” so I’ll zonk out and they can eat me] LOL
Her big problem is going to be that most people are irrationally afraid of snakes. especially when they’re 6 foot long...or longer.
Any way, I’m all for employing animals in human therapy.
“Hug therapy” is already being employed and has recently crossed over to the world of veterinary medicine.
“Thunder Shirts”.

If any of my dogs were noise phobic, I’d buy one in a heartbeat.
“for the truly severe cases, Reticulated Pythons.”
BTW, for the love of God, do *not* employ Retics in therapy unless you’re looking for an -extremely- permanent “cure”...LOL
Fascinating!
Your expertise with snakes is wonderful and unusual. I saw your post on another thread about your security doors! They sound very mesmerizing.
Our now departed “;^( Golden Retriever would have LOVED a Thundershirt. She was the sweetest thing, but apparently abused before we rescued her. She’d freak if you threw a ball at her and never learned to retrieve at all. But what a companion.
We’ve done it!! We’ve completely hijacked this thread and turned it into a snake thread. Using a large Retic for Hug Therapy would definitely be for only the most severe cases, just as using Dr. Guillotine’s little machine would only be for the worst headaches.
LOL!
