Up Next… Obama’s New Energy Regulations Will Put 32 Coal Plants Out of Business

The Obama Administration killed the Keystone Pipeline project today.

Up next is the coal industry. New EPA regulations will force 32 coal plants to close their doors putting hundreds of Americans out of work.

The latest move by the EPA will force new regulations on 26 states. The new rules will kill thousands of jobs, cost billions of dollars and increase electricity rates for every family.

New EPA rules will force Western coal-fired power plants to install haze-reducing pollution-control equipment at a cost of $1.6 billion a year.

....The Obama Administration’s new energy regulations will shut down about 8% of all U.S. generating capacity or the equivalent of wiping out all power generation for Florida and Mississippi.

If this is allowed to go through its really going to be catastrophic. One of the reasons I am supporting Newt is because he will get rid of the EPA and he can do it without the legislature. Romney will not do it.

Great. We’ll be able to watch each other starve for miles through all that clean air.

Mr. Obama so hates America that he is trying to do as much damage as possible before we vote him out of office.

He said he was going to close down the coal plants, yet the jerks in the coal mining states voted for him! Juan McCain failed to push the point (or any other point), but I’d have thought it would have been pretty well known because of ads by third parties.

We need major TV ads in those States affected. Have an Electric Plant and an Electric bill on the screen with a voiceover.

Elections have consequences, Because of Obama's EPA X number of power plants are closing in whatever State. As a result, your electric bills will go up 50-70%....

Are you willing to pay that?

Mike

“if somebody wants to build a coal plant, they can — it’s just that it will bankrupt them, because they are going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that’s being emitted.” - Barack Obama January 2008

Obama told his supporters early on that he was going to destroy America. The Obama Administration has been working to turn the greatest country in the history of the world into a backward, third world dictatorship. They are systematically bankrupting America and destroying everything in America that is good or productive.

Our society is being undermined and destroyed.

If the Obama Administration is reelected and has four more years to pursue its agenda America is finished.

Seems to me that you owe yourself an education, and that you owe a bunch of coal mining states an apology.

The US is the Saudi Arabia of coal and natural gas. We are, IIRC, the only country that can completely sustain itself.

Communist China is opening 1 coal-fired plant per week. But we must preserve the entire US as a pristine, untouched natural resource.

At the same time that we off load the technology for energy development and containment that the rest of the world uses.

What a savings.

The Congress cannot allow this out-of-control agency to continue to issue regulations designed to return this country to pre-Columbus status.

But think how much better the squirrel hunting will be.

No, not all of them. But several swing states, like Pennsylvania and Ohio. Also Colorado and New Mexico, which voted Republican the last time around. Illinois isn’t really a surprise.

IMO, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Indiana really deserve the verbal beating for their 0bama vote.
