This seems counter productive to the narrative of ending hunger in the world; to take productuve land out of farming.
I swear i do not get marxist/socialists/

I only mentioned the EPS fuding Smart Growth becuuse if you go to their web site and scraoll to the bottom you see the EPA mentioned
it isn’t clear what the connection is but it wouldn’t surprise me if some of our taxpayer money helped fund this whacked group

From what I have pieced together, the entire thing is run on grants to municipalities. The local action groups ferret out the grants and then convince the local boards to apply. It is the typical leftist incrementalism, I think. Each grant, of course, has hooks and strings attached.

Our area may be different, in that we are a progressive action center, have a plethora of organic farms and the huge organic dairy (over $700M/year gross)donates big to all donks.

The medium-sized commercial organic farmers seem to take all the EPA stuff in stride. They already have so much paperwork and hoop-jumping to go through, they seem not to mind every new one that is piled on to them.

They don’t care about feeding the world because that is done with large-scale farms growing row crops or large confinement animal production facilities and they want to get rid of both. If people are going to eat meat, it will be under their control, organic and expensive.

Control. It is all about control.

Read “You can still trust the communists to be communists” if you want to “get it”.

They WILL “end hunger”, after the bourgeoisie all are intentionally starved to death. Those that remain will be working for the common good, and for the simple joy of working, and everyone will be happy and adequately fed.

I know it’s a screwed up mindset, but this IS what we’re dealing with on the left.
