According to this writer, Santorum’s Christianity and faithfulness as a family man are top reasons to vote for him. It was simply pointed out that the 2 worst presidents in our country’s history fit those criteria.

He didn’t say Obama was a Christian; he said he has a stable marriage and kids, Jimmy Carter was the one who ran as a ‘strong Christian.’ And look where THAT got us.

And the best president (Coolidge) had the same traits.

And one of the worst ever (Buchanan), did not, and in fact was the only unmarried president.

The point being, having a stable family is an asset. It doesn’t guarantee that the president will be good (ie, don’t elect democrats), but it isn’t a detriment. It’s a substantial asset.
