Ron Paul…Conservative Killer! And Just Plain Crazy
Flopping Aces ^ | 01-13-12 | Curt

Rush Limbaugh blasts Ron Paul as the Conservative Killer:

...the majority of people that voted him were not Republican. And in another poll, the percentage of Ron Paul voters who say they will vote for the Republican nominee is... like 80% of Tea Party voters in New Hampshire said no matter who the Republican nominee is they're voting for it. The Ron Paul number is 40%. Now, as I say, I've gotta double confirm. It's ostensibly Rasmussen and we're double-checking this, but what I know so far, or what I've been told is that Ron Paul supporters, 40% say they would vote for the Republican nominee, 23% said they'd vote for Obama, and 31% of Ron Paul voters said they would vote third party. So the Ron Paul voters cannot be counted on, and most of Huntsman's voters and most of Paul's voters were Democrats who walked into the New Hampshire primary, picked up a Republican ballot, also according to this polling data.

...Here we go. It's the exit polling data from Fox, and it is on political matters, "Do you consider yourself very liberal, somewhat liberal, moderate, somewhat conservative, very conservative?" You go to Ron Paul, 33% of his voters, according to exit polls, were somewhat liberal; 24% were moderate; 0 were very liberal. So 57% of the voters that voted for Ron Paul were not Republican conservatives. And that's one of the things that I wanted to see because with this big push -- what is happening here, the final push now that's on to get Romney the nomination, Newt and Perry, with their attacks, have made it impossible to defend them. I hate to tell you, folks, but you just can't put your name to what they're out there saying, vulture capitalism and so forth.

Romney, however, wants Ron Paul to stay in. Everybody is urging everybody else to get out of this except for Ron Paul. They want Ron Paul to keep pounding away at Santorum and Newt. They want Ron Paul to continue to get big numbers and take away any high second- or third-place finishes from Santorum or Gingrich or Perry or anybody else. So the powers that be realize the monkey wrench that Ron Paul represents. Ron Paul is a conservative killer. Ron Paul kills the conservative vote, and the Romney camp wants him in there, encouraging him to stay in there.

So 40% of Paul voters said they would go on to support the eventual Republican nominee. 40%!

Where's the other 60% going to go? Apparently Obama.

While 80% of the tea-party voters will support WHOEVER the Republican nominee is.

That should tell us a whole lot about Ron Paul and his supporters. They cannot be counted on to push the Republicans to victory in 2012. The only thing Ron Paul can guarantee is to kill off Santorum and Newt's chances.

With that I'll segue into the John Gibson show yesterday in which Gibson asked Ron Paul supporters to call in and give him reasons why he is so awesome: (its 15 minutes well spent?)

So, Rush is complaining that the Dems are following his "Operation Chaos" strategy?

“So, who are you supporting?” Newt. GO NEWT!

You notice Mitt and Ron Paul are not going after each other. Newt is going after Mitt. Mitt and Paul are going after the Conservative candidates. Santorum is going after everyone and should be concentrating on the front runner Mitt.

I know a lot of folks here discount Paul as a contender in this race and that any discussion of him is a waste of time. Nothing could be further from the truth. Paul is actively trying to get his people placed as delegates in states and is trying to be a serious factor using arcane GOP rules regarding Caucus state Primary results.

http://www.businessweek.com/news/2012-01-11/paul-may-win-republican-convention-clout-by-gaining-delegates.html

Anyone who underestimates Paul’s impact on this election is a fool. He is going to game the system in his favor to create a brokered convention and try and convert the GOP party into the failed Libertarian Party. Remember, Paul and Mittens are the only 2 on the VA ballot. He will be collecting delegates where other won’t be able to.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Which - as we know - did not work. Or it actually worded so well that it gave us Barack Obama, when the country would have been better off with Hillarity.
A vote for RoPaul is essentially a vote for Mittens.
The only reason the GOP has this lib on the ticket is to drive off serious conservative contenders and allow libs to cross over and vote for Paul.
But when the shouting is all over - Mitt will stand alone.
If Ron Paul would agree to let his VP be any one of the Other GOP candidates and defer all foreign policy decisions to them while he concentrates on Domestics, I would vote for him in a second.
But that ain’t gonna happen.
I have to wonder, and we shall probably never know; if Paul went Third Party, how many on both sides of the aisle would jump on board, both Republicans and Democrats.
Independents might see they have nothing to lose. The disenfranchised who voted for Obama could then go somewhere Not Republican, as believe their lives under Paul would be economically better. The working class is trying to make ends meet, so they can have their American dream and are weary and seeing that goal even further off while unvoluntarily paying for the whole world in whatever strife that comes along, or whatever program is going to help someone other than themselves. The word Unfair is heard a lot. They might decide the rest of Paul's controversial “sound bites” could be fought out in Congress before they ever came to be.
There is so much media propaganda 24/7 on all the candidates with Pinocchio-isms thrown left and right in PAC ads and groups most of us have never heard which claim they have no allegiance to any Party [ha;] that the public stays confused, angry, divided and kept from making informed decisions based on facts. They just know the economy sucks, their home is not worth what it used to be, that the education system is broken, anything the government is overseeing billions continue to be lost; that money that allocated to be spent On the Troops at times turned up Just Missing with no accountability, and how many generals does one need.. so families and patriotic grass roots groups had to send the basics what these brave men and women needed. Helicopters killed how many of our military ? because of malfunctions that never seemed to be fixed. Billion dollar plus drones fly themselves into the waiting arms of our said enemy. That several thousand contractors are still building infrastructure in Iraq, Afghanistan for those who have never said: "Thank you America"--or "Hey, how about some oil credits for all your trouble, getting rid of Saddam! Troops are vilified right and left in the media; even though the talks with the Taliban still are in progress [as they know they did that and far worse], and the only ones who seem to keep pressing the issue is the MSM who are just plain tiresome and live in the Land of Ridiculous; and that anyone simply wants an out from anything having to do with Government As It Stands. They just want honesty and integrity, accountability and protection from those foreign or home grown that want to hurt them.
I do think intelligence on the ground, as was there not an asassination the other day of the Iranian nuke scientist? Did not their nuclear related computer system crash because of cyber intelligence from "somewhere"? We cannot assassinate a leader, but the enemy has no problem planning an assassination attempt on some visiting foreign leader..It would save a lot more lives and cost far less. The old engagements of war have to be changed.
I remain undecided.... and we have almost a year to go of more of the same??
What if there were a 3rd Party, what percentage of both parties and Independents and would turn to follow?
Or just keep it like it is, we don't need no stinking 3rd Party.
Really? You think Barack Obama is a better president than Hillary would have been?
My God. I’d take Hillary, Carter, Biden, the racers Jesse and Al, and add in Nazi Pelosi for good measure - all rolled into one - and that would still be better than the pukeage we are suffering with now in the White House.
