Be interesting to see the Pacer and Gremlin come back but instead of being lame cars, they both have some b@!!s and are built well ! Unfortunately, AMC is long gone !

I must be superstitious, I never buy a car in an odd year.

And especially on a 13th year.

I can honestly say intelligently that the 2013 model year may suffer a very unique tepid sales response.

My first car was a ‘67 Dart slant six. Three-on-the-tree.
Fun drive!

The biggest PIECE OF CRAP that I ever worked on.

The Slant-6 engine had the distributor wedged against the firewall. when you changed the points (don’t worry, if you’re under 40, this is old-timer stuff), if you weren’t REALLY CAREFUL, you could drop one of the small screws into the distributor, when then locked it up and caused it to strip out its nylon gear (where it meshed with the camshaft). Not the worst failure mode possible, but a real PAIN IN THE BUTT when you had to wait an hour at the dealer while they tried to figure out how their new-fangeled computer-controlled inventory system worked.

The best thing that ever happened to that car was the TRASH HEAP.

Actually they based it off of an Alfa Romeo subcompact (which fiat also owns). Badge engineering strikes again.

At first I thought you visited a bad site and caught some adware,
then it occurred to me we've been to the same bad site,
but then I saw post #9 covering for us both.
I can't afford to get caught again.
