I agree. But I don’t see Gingrich or Perry getting out for Santorum. And of the conservative alternatives, he’s been the most consistent and viable. If Newt really wanted to hurt Romney, he’d get out.

Your right. Actually we can take two, president/vp. I vote Santorum/Newt.

Do you have Newt and Santorum on speed dial?

We haven’t even had a big state primary yet. South Carolina will help move towards shrinking the field. How do we possibly know who should be the ONE?

Won’t happen...

Tried to tell Iowans... If not Newt, it will be Romney. They gave us Santorum.

This is actually only the first real primary (Iowa was a caucus), and both of these events were in atypical liberal rural states.

It’s way too early to decide now. Heck, by your reasoning, Huntsman, who is now coming in third in NH after having come in at the bottom of the pack since forever, should now be the annointed candidate.

Or maybe you want Ron Paul, who shouldn’t even be running as a Republican? If anybody drops out, it should be him.

No kidding? I back Santorum but I don’t think Newt or Perry are ready to quit yet. Probably after Florida when it’s too late.

The comprehensive character assassination of Newt will backfire in the South. Newt now has the money to fight back and the mouth to tell his side of the story.

If Perry doesn’t have a decent showing in SC, look for him to drop out.

Yup. Newt is too much baggage. He needs to quit. Perry has created the perception of the bumbling illegal-loving idiot.

That’s what I said last week, and I was flamed for it. Romney sucks, and he is worse than McCain and Dole. I blame Ron Paul as much as anyone. He is a POS crackpot. His support shows that even many of our own voters are chumps.

We haven’t even had a big state primary yet.

The problem is that Romney will win the primaries inthe big, moderate states. Face it. As much as we hate it Romney will be the candidate. We should be trying to figure out how to make the best of that.

If anyone read what I just read that Newt will have a “love-fest” with Jim Clyburn in SC, with God’s blessing, he will be OUT in SC. Once again, Newt shows how liberal he is! Santorum is the only conservative left to vote for who can win!

Well Santorum has the best claim on staying in. Newt should be the one to drop out.

Perry has been banking on SC, and he has the resources to compete, so he won’t be getting out.

With the exception of 1980, the establishment always gets their guy. Always.
