What songs motivate you to move?
Good choices, especially the Peter Gunn Theme, by Henry Mancini--he wrote it and did a couple versions--or the Blues Brothers cover.
The best workout song of all time:
Gonna Fly Now ( Theme from “Rocky” )
Bill Conti
Iron Maiden - The Trooper
Ayumi Hamasaki
Ayu-Mix II, or pretty much any of the Ayu-mixes.

Congratulations, you may have created a thread that will go down in FReeper lore!
I’m going to be bookmarking and researching the heck out of these because my workouts are extremely important to me and it’s vital to keep motivated.
“A Light in the Black”...Rainbow.
I Just discovered Trombone Shorty after hearing his terrific rendition of the National Anthem at the start of the Giants/Falcons game. Fantastic!
This one is definitely going in my workout playlist:

Marking, thanks. The gym I go to usually plays easy listening crap. Time to load up my droid with workout tunes. droid
“Buckeye Battle Cry” as performed by THE Ohio State University Marching Band - The Best Damned Band in the Land!
I also have a disc of college fight songs that I find motivating to listen to - except for that retched little ditty of that team Up North.
Old Man River.
LOL
Check your FreepMail.
There is an acapella version of that on the iTunes release....
Disciples of Hell Yngwie Malmsteen (I cut off the acoustic entry)
Diamonds and Rust Judas Priest (live version from 79)
5150 Van Halen
Crazy Train Ozzy Osbourne (Randy Rhoads tribute album version)
Run to the Hills Iron Maiden
Prelude to Madness-Hall of the Mountain King Savatage
Night Train Guns n Roses
Stranglehold Ted Nugent
Into Sweet Debauchery Hardcore Superstar
One More Time Reckless Love (because if you dont scream in a song then it isnt true)
Death Row Crazy Lixx
Dont Stop the Sandman Rock Sugar (I like this better than either original)
Just for you, may I suggest “Gator Country” by Molly Hatchet.
DFW, I was waiting for the gator bait poke. Well played. Well played indeed!
This is happening accidentally, like “may your panties be full”....
I just got around to listening to this.
(I did work out today.)
This is a glorious piece of music! Thank you!
Indeed; Oscar Peterson put out tons of glorious music, and that’s one of my favorites. Glad you enjoyed it, and hope you’re workout regime is going well. I was hiking this morning with my dog and ipod and this thread crossed my mind. Ha, FR! By the time you get through the catalog posted here you may be ready for a marathon.
