For months on the campaign trail, former Senator Rick Santorum was an afterthought for many potential voters. However, in the past week, his popularity has increased tremendously right before the Iowa Caucus.
Along with his rising poll numbers, the traffic on RickSantorum.com has exploded as well. The traffic-tracking website Alexa did not even rank RickSantorum.com in the top 100,000 websites on the internet in the three months leading up to the surge. Yet, in the past week, not only has the site gone above 100,000, but it has broken 40,000:
(Three Month View)
(One Week View)
To put this into a bit of perspective, the Drudge Report is the 385th largest site on the internet and Little Green Footballs is the 83,591th biggest site on the web. So, in the last week, RickSantorum.com is getting a lot more traffic than Little Green Footballs, but a lot less than Drudge.
With the way this race is going it appears that his surge came with perfect timing.
Personally I’m a single day nationwide primary supporter.
Who?
His surge is an invention from the media.

sure it is. not.
I hope Santorum has the time and organization to funnel his new found money into other state primaries.
Yep. The media giveth and the media taketh away. Amazing that so many freepers still haven't got that elementary fact of life in politics. Just wait till after to-morrow, especially if Santorum really does do well--the media anal exam will begin.
That’s one reason I wish we had a single primary day nationwide. The candidates wouldn’t be forced to spend 9 months in Iowa and NH. Plus they could spread out around the country and campaign to their strengths. The final bonus would be the fact that they wouldn’t be pitted against each other so much.
The only guy so far that sounds supportable by me.
So he decides to run for the GOP nomination for POTUS, apparently because he has nothing better to do but engage in hopeless endeavors.
And spend lots of time with Iowans, who might as well be Martians when it comes to picking the best candidate.
His surge is an invention from the media.
Ding ding ding!!!!

AGREED!,,,,plus it keeps the liberal presstitutes away.
