The Joke Was On Us, Arlen

On the Third Day of Christmas (Dec. 27), the former senator who resided in Pennsylvania but represented himself for 30 years took to the stage of the Helium Comedy Club in Philadelphia to really let we Keystone Staters know what kind of cue balls we have been.

(snip)

"Bill Clinton is a friend of mine because I was a friend of his," he joshed. "I voted not to impeach him. And that's a hell of a thing to do considering the evidence."

So much for "Scottish law".

Another anti-George Baily. The world is worse off for Snarl’n Arlen’s having been born.

Oh, that's unfortunate. Why would you do that?

How about posting your full content right here instead of pimping for hits?

Please let I know when this problem is resolved.

Without Arlen there would be no "magic bullet", Ira Einhorn would have never made bail, and Robert Bork would be on the Supreme Court.

OTOH, we would never have heard about Scottish law.

really let we Keystone Staters know

If you insist on cluttering up the net with your drivel at least master the basics of English grammar first.

So he says he voted against impeaching because he was Clinton's friend, but what about Rinos like Snowe and Collins, what excuse do they have?

WASHINGTON February 12, 1999) -- The Senate acquitted President Bill Clinton Friday of both articles of impeachment. The perjury charge was defeated with 55 "not guilty" votes and 45 "guilty" votes. On the obstruction-of-justice article, the chamber was evenly split, 50-50. Below is the roll call:

Note, had Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins of Maine, for once done what was right for the country, right for the law, and just plain right, the vote would have been 48 not guilty and 52 guilty On the obstruction-of-justice article vote. Yet Mainers keep sending these two tramps back to the Senate.

So he says he voted against impeaching because he was Clinton's friend,

Yeah, but that's not why he said he voted against impeachment back then. He cited it being "not proven" in accordance with Scottish law.

Now he's telling a bunch of people in a comedy club that there was a lot of evidence after all and that he was cutting slick a break.
